If you want to eat a homemade meal at a restaurant overlooking the ocean and the palm trees this is the place to go. I promise you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere is beautiful and the vibes are so family oriented.
We came to eat here for my Sons 5th birthday on St. Patrick's day. I checked out their menu online. They had some of his favorite things so i decided to bring him, my, sister and my mom here. Lets just say they were all satisfied. I don't know how i finished all my food but i did. i left there with a food belly i was so full. The kids meals are crazy big, i wish i could've ordered off that menu.
We ordered the Moroccan mint tea and the Turkish coffee. They are both deliciously sweet and flavorful. i was always told i don't know how to make coffee because at the bottom of my cup i always have grounds but this is how this coffee is served and i loved it.
We also had the falafel fingers and hummus which was absolutely delicious.
My sister ate the fish and fries. Most delicious fresh fries ever may i add. My son had the Honey chicken and my mother and i ordered the Spicy chicken. The chicken was so soft and creamy and the right amount of spice to where you can still taste the flavor of the food. i also ordered the side of garlic fries with my meal which i barely touched. The fries are a perfect combination of soft and crispy they are made with love and magic. it was like a fried mashed potato stick. As if Karim perfectly boiled the potato and then fried it to perfection.
A lot of the cooking reminded me of my grandmothers cooking the falafel reminded me so much of my grandmothers Bajia and the chicken reminded me of her curry.
This Restaurant is ran Perfectly by the lovely Husband and Wife duo. I feel they are the type that if you return in a year they will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is a MUST when in Pismo!! Literally every bite had me dancing in my chair because it was so yummy. When we first walked in, no one was there (it was Thanksgiving weekend) but we were greeted with kindness and immediately offered a table! We opted to sit outside (the views at sunset from the back patio are incredible!) and our waiter Amon was kind enough to light the heater for us. We found out he was the son of the owner and he was super sweet. The owner was the cook the night we were there. The vibe inside is so warm and cozy, the lanterns lend a nice touch to the food you're about to have. The tables are set so elegantly, it is a perfect balance of fine dining and individuality. We had the appetizer platter, chicken and beef kabobs, baklava, the morrocan tea and their homemade ice cream. All of it was AMAZING!!!! My husband isn't much for tea but he was obsessed with it, the tea also helps reduce heartburn so that was a nice bonus for him. The appetizer platter was chefs kiss perfect, but the Bastilla stood out as my favorite. Definitely try it if you haven't before. The kabobs came with some of the best flavor I have ever tasted and were served with a deliciously seasoned vegetable mix and buttery rice. The main course plates come with a lentil soup that is lovely and some bread (that I can't remember the name of) that was like sourdough and Naan had a baby. Baklava was the BEST I have ever had and came with homemade ice cream that was flavored like the tea. I never wanted to stop eating but I just couldn't finish all the food they served! You definitely need...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy first time here, I liked it, and I do recommend it. A little quirky, Oasis is just a little new on the block. The food is very authentic. It is not your typical formula/theme/clone Pismo restaurant. Probably one of the best new ethnic restaurants ever to grace the area. If you like grilled food this is the place for you. The spice and aroma is turned up here. To start the lentil soup is very good with savory coriander, cilantro, and was that lime? We had the lamb kabob, grilled chicken, vegetables and artichoke cabbage dish. All were very good. Someone's family recipes must be involved here and those are some really good recipes. Guaranteed. The owners decided not to sell alcohol, but they have a license. This is to your advantage. You can bring with you, any beer, wine, cider you want, and there is no corkage or fee. This should save you a bunch or money and if you want there is a good liquor store just a few doors down. A little note to the owners if you are reading: a few items were just a tiny bit over-cooked or charred, but still the flavor was well worth the eating. Be a little careful with the salt levels too, the artichoke dish was just a tad over salted (olives probably had enough salt to carry the dish alone). The meats were very tender, flavorful, and smoky. The bread and rice were surprisingly good. We took home the left-overs an they were super good for a midnight snack !! I've eaten all-over the CA central coast region, this place is worth the...
