Stayed here for nine nights. Requested the main floor near an entrance in advance and was pleasantly surprised. They put me in a wheelchair accessible room and I was thrilled with the size of the room and the bed. The towels were thick, the bed a little hard, but new, so cant complain there. However, they are a little on the 'thrifty" side when it comes to shampoo, lotion, etc. They offer a single bottle of 2 in 1 shampoo and two small round bars of soap. Had to request lotion from the front desk. I felt sorry for the breakfast staff, since they have a continous barrage of tour buses every night, as well as a group of dance camp girls. I dont know what is wrong with people, but they tore up the breakfast/eating area every single day, without regard to the other guests. While the breakfasts are simple, and nothing to write home about, there was a breakfast with eggs, sausage, package oatmeal, muffins and waffles. Sadly, all I require in the morning is a good cup of coffee, and for three days straight there was no creamer. It took a lot of complaining to get them to make sure the creamer was stocked and available after the first three days there were no problems with that. I will say that I didnt request housekeeping but twice that I was there, and only once for a full cleaning, sheets, etc. Angelo did an excellent job in my room with a complete cleaning However one day all I needed was fresh towels and toilet paper and a quick make up of the bed and the person that supplied these simply put the new roll of toilet paper on the floor, next to the trash rather than put it on the roll, and barely made the bed. (Really, can you get more lazy?) It also seems like something was always not working here, for a couple of days the elevator was down, and the last few days the back entrance that I used key pad didnt work, so you either put a rock in the door to get back in or you had to go to the next entrance and walk through the hotel to get back to your room. With all these little things that were wrong with the facility my stay was made pleasant with the exceptional customer service of a few people that work for La Quinta, and the ONLY reason I would return. Angelo did a great job doing a complete cleaning of my room, Becky and Dalton at the front desk were always very pleasant, and cheerful as I came in late at night and made sur there was fresh coffee when I needed it and Ryan the maintenence man was a cheerful. LaQuinta needs...
Read moreBed bugs! I was waiting in the lobby for a reservation I made online to come through at about 1:30 a.m. (I had decided to stop here because I was too tired to continue my trip home) when a couple came to the desk asking for a refund because their room had bedbugs. They showed the lady at the desk pictures and she called her supervisor and asked what she should do. She then informed the couple she could refund their stay or she could place them in another room and check it for bed bugs before they stayed in the new room, however, if they chose to stay in the new room, they would be charged for their stay. I immediately started working on canceling my reservation and explained to my 6 year old daughter who was sitting next to me on the bench in the lobby that we would not be staying there. She was disappointed because it was 1:30 a.m. and I had woken her from the car to take her into the hotel and she wanted to go to bed. When I explained to her that we wouldn’t be staying there because there were bugs in the beds. She asked if they were like the bugs that were next to her on the bench we were sitting on! I took pictures of the bugs and notified the lady at the desk. She came and looked and said, I don’t know if they’re bed bugs but they’re definitely bugs. We left immediately. I decided to just drive the rest of the way home because I was well awake after all this. We finally got home at 3 a.m. and I undressed myself and 6 year old and three year old before we even came into the house and put our clothes into bags and left the bags outside on our front porch and we all took showers to hopefully make sure that if any bugs were transferred to our clothing or hair while we were sitting on the bench in the lobby that they wouldn’t be transferred into our house. After I got my girls into bed, I went back out and removed my 3 year olds car seat from the car and Lysol wiped all of our seats. Then changed my clothes a second time to make sure anything that may have been transferred to my car, and then my clothes while I was cleaning the car, would not be transferred to my house. Hopefully my extreme efforts were effective and we don’t end up with bedbugs in our house! Ten minutes of sitting in this hotel lobby is the most disgusting ten minutes I could ever have dreamed of. I’m still going through the efforts now to make sure every item that potentially came into contact with their bedbugs will be cleaned and cleared of any...
Read moreI consider myself a fair review writer.if there is potential or hope of potential for a business I always say. In this case LaQuinta may need a new GM in order to have potential maybe also new head housekeeper that likes to check the rooms and do their job. I was already in a mess when I arrived here. This was one of the last things that I needed. I have five kids my furnace went out it's 20 or below here we had nowhere to stay. My dear friend put us up in this hotel. The room cost her about 130 give or take. The check-in lady was very nice and friendly and they had free breakfast and that's the reason for the two stars. The rooms were nice until I actually started looking at the bed and lifting up the cushions to find crumbs of chips and popcorn. Dog hair, human hair and housekeeping they are given sticky rollers and ozone machines for the pet-friendly rooms. My daughter has allergies to pets and was swollen and broke out due to the hair. I was told to come back in the morning and talk to the GM Mike I was lent a vacuum and was given the things to remake my beds. I clean the majority of the room an order for us to stay there. they tried to switch me rooms and that room was even more dirty than the one I was in. The wifi didn't work and the kids were unable to finish their homework. we called downstairs and there was nothing that they could do about it. when I was able to go downstairs that next morning and talk to Mike the GM not even a handshake did I receive. I am a guest with a complaint. I had told Mike what had happened he said that he would get back to me later on he didn't. I had to go find him. Very well I vacuumed my room made my beds and cleaned my tub the drawers were still sticky there was still food in them my wifi didn't work but half of what my good friend paid for us to stay in this hotel was fair to Mike. though I expressed to him that was poor customer service and that he would lose my business and I would never stay with them again. He didn't care he said, "that's fine once again I apologize for what happened but half is fair." Not one but two rooms were dirty I cleaned the one we were in I'm not on their payroll but we literally had nowhere to stay. It was later in the night. Not only am I disappointed in Mike's poor customer service. But the owner for Mike said he had spoke to him. THIS is what they felt was fair. A Google review says so much about a place I will leave it up to you to stay at this...
