We chose this Super 8 because it was cheaper than other hotels in Blackfoot and Idaho Falls though the pet fee was higher than listed on some internet sites at $25 per pet. The hotel is conveniently located off Highway 15 exit at a very busy intersection which can be a bit tricky to negotiate with lots of traffic. It is walking distance to a local upscale restaurant The Sandpiper as well as to Burger King, Subway, Jack in the Box and a local Mexican place called Puerta Vallarta. Front desk was very busy during a late afternoon check in. We had booked directly with the hotel and we did have a room change prior to arrival for a slight increase in room rate. We were put in a double queen accessible room with a desk and a bench for sitting. We had a microwave and larger minifridge with a freezer section. There was easily accessible reliable free internet. It was a two-story hotel so ask for first floor is preferred. There were some grassy areas for pets outside. It had a reliable ice machine. Breakfast had an early start time (5:00) but was mostly continental with make your own waffles and microwavable sausage patties and many cold items. It was busy though fairly quiet with some hall noise. The grounds were clear though some discard was on the parking lot. There was some free off-street parking but crowded on a busy night. Our total bill for one night with taxes and fees was $135 including the...
Read moreLocation is right by the highway and next to some food places and gas station. However parking sucks. Not much main parking, overflow lot is horrendous. Uneven and large bumps.
The rooms are ok. Half attempt at a remodel. Other super 8s I've stayed at the work is at least finished. Beds were at least comfy and the room was clean. Bathroom is small. Not much counter space.
You have to request housekeeping before 8am which is fine. But when my partner and mother asked "what would be easier to get extra towels and gatbage bags. To ask you or just go to the front" the initial house keeper was nice and said oh I can do it right now. The 2nd house keeper was rude and right away tried correcting the 1st worker. My partner intervened and explained to the 2nd HK that she wasnt listening and was asking a simple question.
Another situation was asking the front desk for more bagels at the breakfast they provide about 30 mins before it ended and the desk worker stated we had to ask someone else and that she doesn't deal with it. Workers are constantly on a smoke break. A few times with the door open and they are standing right by the door. Smoke isnt the thing I want to smell while eating breakfast.
All in all its a bedroom with a shower. Room did have a microwave and fridge which was nice. Customer service needs to be...
Read moreI stayed here for 1 night. Originally, I was scheduled to stay here for three nights. However, the couple staying in the room directly above mine, started fighting all night long. It sounded like they were throwing furniture and I worried she would be killed. Calls to the front desk from the room phone and nobody answered. I used my cell phone and finally it was answered. The desk clerk said he’d handle it. It got quiet for about 30 minutes. Just as I was falling asleep it started again. I called again, and was told that nothing could be heard from the hallways. The fighting went on all night. I left very early and explained why I was leaving. I was told they knew who it was because they always have problems with this resident. Yep! This couple lives there! They gave me $10 bucks off my bill. I was like are you kidding?!? Can’t call the manager because the only phone number is to the front desk where I kept being told “he’s not in”. Email address is to the hotel and not the manager. This hotel is very loud. People go out to smoke and whole conversations can be heard in the rooms. I would not recommend staying in this hotel if they are going to cater to bad clientele that live there. It’s not a safe...
