Jack in the Box — Restaurant in Pocatello

I worked at this store for a while, so my review will more reflect the issues i had with management there. from what i've heard, nobody i worked with is still there due to their own problems with management, and honestly good for them.

the area manager was alright, i don't really have complaints about him. the only person i really had problems with was the general manager. i'm convinced that she's the reason why the turnover rate at the restaurant was so astronomical. i remember when she would harp on us about being late, and not show up at all one day that same week without texting anyone beforehand. lots of grumpy faces that morning. i remember being pressured to show up even when i was sick with a fever of 104, to which i caved. i remember how a pregnant coworker caught a lot of flack from the manager, and how much work she was required to do in her condition.

i suppose the last of it happened when my car broke down. i was able to get rides from a coworker, but once she left her notice to leave for a better job, i was suddenly without reliable transportation. i let the manager know that i wasn't sure about how i'd get there, and she told me she would cover my shifts in case i couldn't show up. i was mentally preparing to wake up an entire hour earlier so i could bike there at 4:30am and calling the store much closer to me to see if i could hire on there instead, but when i said my name, they couldn't find me in the employee database. turns out, she had fired me without a warning, and had promptly removed me from the work group chat so i couldn't talk to anyone there about it. so i called the restaurant since i knew she was still working, and she didn't pick up. instead, a coworker answered, and said things were really busy. so i gave it a couple hours and called again. still "busy". i did this one more time before i gave up.

the regional manager did me a solid though and helped me hire on at the closer restaurant, so things did turn out alright, but as far as i know the problem manager is still working there, and the turnover rate is...

I was quite disappointed with Jack in the Box. I don't have a Jack in the Box close to where I live. It has therefore become a tradition of my wife and I to travel there yearly as part of our wedding anniversary celebration, at first I thought this store did alright but I soon found out after traveling 30 miles away that my order was not only not complete but missing my entire meal. I should have checked earlier but as I was in a hurry and have never had an issue before I didn't. I called the restaurant to see if there was something I need we could do, they told me I could come back, being more than 30 minutes away at that point was not practical so I inquired about a refund to my card. I was informed that the store manager would have to call me. I was also told that I should hear from the manager within 2 days. I wasn't happy with waiting but as my distance to the store was growing I had little choice. Its now been almost 2 weeks and I know that just less than $10 isn't a lot but I've never even heard back from the manager. Poor customer service. I now know there are additional Jack in the Box stores in the city and would recommend avoiding this one if possible. Poor service and poor customer service. If by some chance you do choose to eat here, get your receipt and triple check it as you mark off the items you purchased. Avoid this restaurant especially if you need more service than them only...

HOT HEADED ASSISTANT MANGER NO WONDER THERE WASNT ANY customers !!!!!!!! The late night assistant manager was very rude! just drove in from Az and was checking emails and responding to my busines yes I was useing the free wifi . she came over and demanded that I order or leave I explained to her that I was finishing up and when husband came out of bathroom we would Order. As soon as my husband came out of bathroom I told him what I wanted she was furious that we were actually going to order ! She told us that we had to leave because we were bums , and this was her store ! she called cops and said that we were loitering. No wonder there was no one there the whole time we were there . She should not be a assistant manager at all the way she treated us she has no humanity AND I GUARANTEE I WAS NOT A BUM !!!but she was just plain rude shame on jack for having a manger that is so hot headed .
