On 3/27/25 at approximately 3:45pm I stopped into this Pocatello location (my first visit to this particular Subway) to order my sandwich of choice, #42, Chicken Salad Sandwich. A sandwich where the picture shows mayo mixed into shredded chicken. I told the male employee (who was working on this time and date), this was the sandwich I wanted.
He place the flat bread on the counter and began loading unmixed shredded chicken on the flat bread. Quite a bit more chicken than I was accustomed to, but as Chick-Fil-A says, “eat more chicken”. So here we are.
I asked for a couple of bacon strips to be added of which he placed two cold bacon strips on top of the mound of shredded chicken meat. Heated bacon would have been better. But I didn’t ask and he didn’t offer. Followed by the requested American cheese.
I asked about the mayo and mentioned the mayo was usually pre mixed into the chicken. He said, “it does come with mayo.” I asked why it’s not mixed into the chicken as the menu illustrates. Then he gave me a disappointed look like a child gives his parents when asked to do something he doesn’t want to do. He grabbed the mayo and no joke, emptied 1/2 of the bottle on the sandwich. Completely covering the meat, cheese, and bacon.
If I had tried to eat this sandwich everything would have slid out the bottom faster than a baby from its mother’s birth canal. But probably would have looked no different.
I asked why it wasn’t mixed, the employee said, “mixing the meat and mayo creates waste and we don’t do that at this location.”
Super frustrated and considering the state of the mayo plastered disaster I told him I did not want that sandwich. He said, “that’s fine” and threw the sandwich in the garbage completely discarding the chicken meat, bacon, American cheese, 1/2 of bottle mayo, a sale, and a 5-Star review. Going for employee of the month? Great job with waste management!
He did not offer to make the sandwich as shown on the menu, did not offer any other sandwich, he just proceeded to clean up the white mess as fast as a teenager after happy time.
Thanks for at least having soft cookies, but full cookies would have been great. When we opened the bag of cookies, some of them were missing 1/2 of the cookie. I bet Mr Tantrum pants is sitting in the corner eating the other half of our soft, over priced cookies. You’re welcome.
The female cashier said nothing, as I paid for my kid’s sandwiches, the cashier asked if we wanted to leave a tip, Of which I responded, “hell no!” In what world would this have been an appropriate time to leave a tip? You already kept 1/2 of my cookies!
I will not return to this location. I don’t recommend it to any one. There’s other locations that I’m sure will treat you better and make sandwiches as advertised by Subway.
I’ve never experienced such horrible service. If you don’t believe me, it’s all on the security cameras.

Read morerecently had a very disappointing experience at Subway when I ordered sandwiches online. Unfortunately, my order was not made correctly, and when I called the store the staff refused to refund my money, despite the mistakes being on their end. Said it was not their problem that I was ordered by door dash and that is not true. I picked these items up. With my suv order I I placed an order for specific cookies, but upon receiving my order, I was given different cookies that were all crumpled and not in the condition I expected. To make matters worse, when I brought up the issue to the staff, they informed me that they didn't have the cookies I originally ordered and refused to refund me for the incorrect and damaged ones.
It's incredibly disappointing that Subway would not take responsibility for their mistake. As a customer, I expect to receive the items I ordered, especially when I paid for them. The fact that they substituted the cookies without informing me beforehand is simply unacceptable.
Furthermore, their refusal to issue a refund or make things right on the spot is highly inconvenient. As a traveler, I didn't have the luxury of sticking around the area to deal with the issue later or call a manager after 11 the next day. Subway should have the means to handle refunds for unsatisfactory products at the time of the complaint, without putting the burden on the customer to jump through hoops to get their money back.
This experience has left me feeling dissatisfied and reluctant to trust Subway with my orders in the future. As a customer, I expect better customer service and accountability from a well-established chain like Subway. They should prioritize customer satisfaction and promptly address any...
Read moreChildren in need of adult supervision. Talk about a mess. When we got there the location was busy mostly with middle-high school kids. Three employees were working. We waiting in line for our turn. The employee who was helping us was clearly young, I figured she was new which was totally fine so I prepared to be patient. She was very lost and I went slow repeating and prompting to help her. Another employee came up and called a friend over from a table and made her friend a sandwich ahead of us while we waited. Finally the young man who was working jumped in to help and apologized for the wait. Another group of kids came up behind us and the original girl started helping them. She ended up dumping a tray on the ground and all the kids screamed. The kids were incredibly disruptive and clearly friends with or related to the worker. I went to pay but the machine wouldn’t print a receipt and the kids were trying to look for ink to fill it. I explain that it’s a thermal printer and to switch the paper around. The Girl then told me she couldn’t give me a receipt now because she didn’t know how to print it and walked away. I stood there waiting for my order because she didn’t hand me the sandwiches and went over to visit with her friends instead. I finally got her attention and asked for the rest of my order. 100% unacceptable that there wasn’t some sort of adult here to referee the chaos. If this was my kid working here I would be very disappointed that this is how they act at work and that they didn’t receive...
