Prairie Motel — Hotel in Prairie du Chien

We decided to move over here after the dishonest owner of Bridgeport Inn price gouged us and didn't actually have some of the amenities that were promised. |||Prairie Motel is very simple, but it is extraordinarily clean--I've stayed in over 20 hotels, hostels, motels, and inns over the last 4 months, so I know clean and not. ||They are definitely making the absolute most with the outdated furnishings and structure! Great job! ||Prices are fair. ||Communication is good and easy, you don't have to ask a million pointed questions to get the info that should just be supplied. ||The room was brightly lit and extremely clean, there were several mirrors, a mini fridge, coffee maker, a couch and sitting area, as well as a desk and chair in our 2-bed room. And the shade and curtain near the beds do a great job at keeping the room dark when you want it that way. ||The people who own/work there are extremely friendly and accommodating. ||Wifi works great. ||Highly recommend this little gem!||Also, it's walking distance to the cinema, which was great for us since it was POURING down rain. Despite some older and traditional furniture, the room was nice and the service was wonderful. The room had a nice microwave, fridge, and television along with everything else. The manager goes out of his way to help the guests and even showed us the room before we stayed in it to make sure we liked it. Very clean and well kept. Can soda machine is available. We were looking for somewhere to stay and found this motel. It was cheap, clean, with a pleasant corner room, which may have been larger than some of the others (from the reviews I've read). The Indian gentleman at reception, who may have been the owner, was very welcoming and made us feel at home immediately. He showed us to our room and, which most motels don't do, and made sure we were happy. It was just a shame that the wifi was a bit hit and miss. We were very ahppy to stay and would recommend...
