First, I brought my letter from the doctor stating I had a support animal, which I was told would be no charge, only to find a charge on my bill later…||Room was GROSS. ||Large stain (looked like dog feces had been poorly cleaned) and the smell was horrible due to fragrance being sprayed liberally.||I immediately started sneezing and itching.||Rather than move me, the staff opened the window, (ground floor, highway side) and turned the a/c down to 60°. It was in the 90°s and humid outside. ||None of the ice machines had ice. The front desk suggested we go to the neighboring gas station and buy ice if we needed it. Which we did and paid for ourselves.||There were no bath towels available because the cleaning lady was having a day off.||The NEXT morning the cleaning lady had to look in other rooms to bring us two towels. (For two women to take showers..1 towel each)||Breakfast: 7am…sliced white bread, English muffins or mini muffins. Apparently they are not put away after the previous day, as they were rock hard. I tried toasting them to soften to no avail. The toaster had missing knobs to put down or up the bread. ||When asked if there was fresh bread was told no, the other guests had eaten it. (Breakfast was only being served for an hour and had 2 hours to go….)||The apples were wrinkled and soft, bananas were hard though! ||Don’t stay here! It sucks. ||I would give the place a minus - if it...
Read moreVery disappointed in the customer service of the “General Manager” who I suspect is also the owner. He is not honest or nice to his customers. We won’t be back. |The accommodations were almost adequate but the problems we experienced were not well handled by the owner. His employees were nicer. |I spilled coffee on the WHITE bedding and they charged me (unauthorized) $50.00. I suggested to the owner to spray it with Spray and Wash and launder it with cold water. He said they only use hot water. What? Hot water only sets stains, it does not remove them. Do they never gets stains on their bedding?|The first room we stayed in was very cold. We determined the heater was blowing hot and cold air. They had us move to a room facing the highway. It was traffic noisy in spite of the small town AND there was no running water in the sink or bathtub. Thankfully, the toilet worked.|For the second night, we moved again to a quieter room that had heat, water and was quiet. But the owner’s attitude was not acceptable. Would never go back. I definitely do not recommend staying here.|The hot tub was not very hot but the...
Read moreWe stayed a Thursday and Friday night, July 4th & 5th. The owners / staff were very accommodating and quickly helpful with any little request. The night staff on duty the following morning was running late and pretty much got in our way during their breakfast offering. The hotel is conveniently in close proximity to the nationally famous Casey's Pizza. We walked across the parking lot for a delicious slice of Casey's breakfast pizza and pastries. The pool was empty of people leaving it all to ourselves. Thinking that was a good thing, we jumped in cooled off after a long day of biking. Our two-day stay was packed with biking riding fun and exploring. For a small town of Preston, this hotel is a welcome sight with very clean and neat rooms, a nice pool, hot tub and light breakfast offerings. The surrounding area is prime for bike riding and this hotel is a perfect fit. We even were able to bring our bikes inside though they were perfectly safe outside on...
