The room was OK definitely not worth $400 though everything was so outdated ##fyp##raleigh##hotel##vacation##myman##ditl##viral##fyp##happy##roomtour

We enjoyed our first 4 days and Zoe was very welcoming, kind, and made us feel comfortable during our stay for the Emergency Vet at NC State. She told us about the discount rates for NC State visitors and brought us extra toiletries. Our cat needed to stay an extra day unexpectedly. We called the front desk and asked to extend another day. Zoe booked our stay and we were good to go. We went to pick up our pet at 12 and got a phone call from someone at Ramada. I'm not sure who it was, but I'm assuming it was the manager. She asked us why we hadn't left yet. I told her we booked an extra day with Zoe last night and she went off about how she's "sick of her sh*t." She said we have to leave that room because their king rooms are already booked. She said she needed to move us to a room with a double bed and we needed to leave NOW. We were sitting in the ER parking lot waiting for them to bring us our pet and told her we couldn't leave. She continued to complain about Zoe. I told her she had been kind to us, and she said "no, I'm done with her." She went ahead and upgraded the person who was supposed to be in our room so we could stay another night. That night, there were quite a few pups in the hallway and our cat was nervous, so we put a towel against the door to muffle it. Around 4 AM, I heard a woman come up to the door to put something under it and when they couldn't, they sighed really loud and walked away. Kinda weird. Other than the strange experience on our last day, we enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and it was very quiet from Monday-Thursday. The atmosphere of the lobby is beautiful and breakfast was great. Each room has a balcony to get fresh air. We didn't use the pool, but it looked refreshing. There was a fridge and microwave in our room. There was a barrier under the bed to keep the cat from going under which was a great touch. The interior was a little 80's but clean and maintained. The vending machines were empty, which was a little disappointing when we wanted bottled water. We wanted to use the laundry service, but they said they never had anyone use it before and weren't sure what company they used for service or how it worked. There is a laundry room with one washer and dryer which takes coins, but we didn't feel comfortable leaving our items unattended. Overall, this place is fantastic for parents who are staying for NC State Veterinary services. It was $69 a night and a $25 pet fee. It is just a 3-4 minute drive with no traffic to the Vet ER and it is off a quiet road. It is right next to an art museum and several restaurants are a 5 minute drive. As long as you don't have a mix up with your stay, you should have a good experience here.

Stayed here one night to visit the University pet hospital services. Everything was no nonsense. Plenty of parking, easy to access location, straightforward amenities. Everything seems to be relatively clean. Somebody looking for a more luxurious stay would be disappointed as the building decor and rooms are a bit dated meaning not just style but has some visible wear. For example, the tile in the bathroom had multiple cracks. I'm simply making a note as I don't believe hotels should renovate every couple years. The standard king room I was in had a balcony, air conditioner, TV, dresser, microwave, ironing setup, coffee maker, tea, and mini fridge with ice box. It also had a weird shower head in a standard tub. The tub was actually rather small for any adult to mostly submerge in. All the soaps and whatnot were name brand. The bed was rather comfortable with no signs of bed bugs. Atmosphere was quiet. I did ask for a fan and the front desk did not have any for those who like to sleep with fans. The breakfast was a point that drew me here. Unfortunately the variety was a little lacking. Today, a Thursday morning, had white toast, scrambled eggs, grits, sausage patties, pancakes, instant oatmeal, apples, coffee, tea, milk, water, and OJ. There may be a thing or two missing but I believe that's most of it. They did not have specifically bacon or biscuits, two things I was looking forward to. I will say that the food that was available was pretty good, especially the eggs. Overall not bad at all. There is also a pool and I believe a gym among other things but I'm here just as a place to stay.

Overall nice stay. Was in town for an NHL game & this was nearby. It was close to arena, but construction was a bit of a mess. Cleanliness of hotel was good. I enjoyed the porch/balcony options & being able to park my bike right outside my room. Breakfast was not as elaborate as some, but it was a nice dining area, & food wasn't too bad. There's enough you don't have to go away hungry. I would have liked more yogurt options or boiled eggs, & a bit more variety of juice (only oj). The bacon was cooked nicely, but didn't venture to try the pressed sausage/filler looking patties. Eggs were standard scrambled eggs & hot cakes weren't bad at all. All staff I came in contact with were quite pleasant. Only issue I had was the remote for the TV wasn't working & it took twice to get it working as prior batteries had corroded inside, & next set put in at front desk were dead, the next time I cleaned remote & they gave me new batteries.. it was a go! The TV's are pretty small for this day n age.. a verh large computer monitor screen could have competed, but pic was clear at least, and thankfully I'm not a big tv watcher. The only other issue I had, was they had apparently ordered new coffee tray pods for the single cup coffeemaker in the room.. & the new ones in room did not fit. Thankfully, they had some at desk that did fit. I ended up using the tray that fit & just put the coffee satchet from tray that didn't fit in it. I let them know the new trays didn't fit, so hopefully they get them swapped back out. A/C worked well & hotel didn't have any funky smells that are sometimes present with nearby construction or older hotels. I'd stay here again if coming up to another game. Room lighting was a bit dim, as only light was from lamps, with no overhead lighting & all lamps had dimmer yellowish type light. Cozy, but had to open curtains for sunlight for brighter room. If I could give it 4.5 stars, I would. I really enjoyed that staff was pleasant & helpful to our group with food order in options etc. They also helped one of our group members to get similar rate the rest of us haf, because he had been charged almost 100$ more. When we asked why, they adjusted his rate, because we had all booked at same time. I'd definitely stay again, & once construction is over & a few minor adjustments & this is a gem...

I had to stay here for work during Hurricane Ian, and I was very impressed with the staff in particular.

Before my stay: I had issues booking with one of their special rates - they took care of it immediately over the phone and re-sent the confirmation when the initial email was delayed. They also allowed me to check in early as soon as housekeeping finished. I did initially miss the driveway (combination weather, gps, and same color signs as the next-door NCSU).

During my stay: in the middle of a hurricane (tropical storm by that point), with outages all around, the power only flickered twice. I'm not sure if we were on generator or grid power, but I was not at all inconvenienced. Also, really great shower - water pressure/good showerhead. The only thing I didn't like was that the bathroom fan was connected to the only light, and I hate the sound of bathroom fans. They also had a pretty upfront "don't steal" mechanism in a card explaining the prices of various items available for purchase, that if not done through housekeeping would be billed. One of the items was an alarm clock that was not in my room, so I did call the front desk immediately to let them know it did not leave with me lol.

After my stay: They also allowed me to check out early over the phone, even though I had left the chain on the door. I left the chain on the door because I had to leave out early, and so parked in front of my first-floor room and left via the patio, and though the sliding door could be locked from the inside (so I felt safe), there was not a way to lock it from the outside, so I did take all my belongings with me in the early AM (I was hoping I would be able to go home that afternoon anyway). Leaving the chain on the door would make it more difficult for housekeeping to accidentally lock me out by engaging the inside lock to that door, and would let me know if someone had come through. I understand the upgrade to have card readers on the outside would be a big undertaking, but that was one thing that felt like a security risk, an access point to the hotel without going by the front desk (though there are cameras in the halls). They also went above and beyond to look for a lost item (which I eventually...
