This is hands down one of my favorite places to visit. On a perfect day you have trails to walk or bike. The museum is full of breathtaking history and the information and staff are all amazing. I can't say enough good things about how great this museum is. This was one of the first places I ever came to visit when moving to this area almost three years ago, and now it is one of my most often visited museums. Also if you keep an eye out they also used to offer outdoor movies. At this time I'm not sure if they will be offering them again this year, but if they do it is so much fun. Often times you can find the information on the Raleigh Events page. So keep an eye out if that might be something you are interested in. No matter the reason you visit you will not leave disappointed as there is something here for everyone. So with the weather warming up now I hope you might find the time to stop by and possibly mark this down as one of your new favorite go to spots in Raleigh

The large sculptures scattered throughout the park add a captivating artistic touch, making every stroll an inspiring journey. The flower fields are a burst of colors and fragrances that elevate the experience to another level.
The presence of a greenway and bike-friendly paths make it a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. The convenience of plenty of free parking is a welcome bonus. But what truly stole my heart was the abundance of green space where you can sit and relax. Whether you want to read a book, enjoy a picnic, or play fetch with your furry friend, this park has it all. Plus, being located next to the museum of art adds an intellectual and cultural dimension to the visit. It's an all-encompassing destination for nature, art, and leisure...
Read moreThe park was very clean and well-maintained, with some paved, accessible walking paths; the signage clearly marks out which paved paths are level and which are sloped for those with mobility challenges.
The cloud chamber was a very cool experience and worth a visit. Be aware that you have to leave the paved path to access it. The walk, itself, is not bad, but leaf cover made it difficult to find, initially, and definitely hides some roots and divets.
The mirrored labyrinth is small, but it was very interesting to look out from both outside and in.
The musical swing may have been my favorite part, though! I definitely plan to come back with a group, to see what kind of melodies can be made with a...
