I booked a room at the Flemington Wyndham/Ramada for a weekend getaway. I chose this property because it had a pool and it's proximity to New Hope, PA, where we were going to travel to. Upon arrival, the first thing I saw was the pool in disrepair and empty. The front desk was still covered with a COVID protective barrier, which prevented me from hearing the desk clerk or being able to communicate with him at all. He was demanding another credit card for incidentals, when we had booked through Expedia, but he was not accepting the card we used for that reservation.|Once we finally got to our room, we found the entire complex to be in a shabby state of disrepair and not at all to our liking. I was upset about the pool to begin with, but then we found the hotel to be filthy, the vending machines either broken or filthy, and the property is attached to a Hooters restaurant, which was not mentioned in the Expedia listing.|I contacted Expedia about the pool situation, and they contacted the hotel and said that compensation was only done by the manager. And of course, the manager was not available. It is Monday, and I have STILL not been contacted by a manager.|The cleanliness of the room was an abhorration. My white socks were BLACK on the bottom from just walking around the room for 15 minutes. The bathroom was disgusting. The toilet did not flush properly, the tub was black with dirt and the drain was rusted. The sink was also rusted.|This was by and far the WORST experience I have ever had in a Wyndham property. Frankly, I was shocked by it.|Not only would I NOT recommend this property, but I will ACTIVELY tell people to AVOID it.|Disappointing is a mild expletive here.|I booked my hard earned vacation in a place that I was promised a pool. It was 89 degrees all weekend. All I wanted was to swim in a pool. But judging from the level of cleanliness at this property, I think I was saved from several different maladies and diseases from any pool I might have used there.|I will not be booking another room with Ramada, Wyndham or any of its affiliates.|VERY...
Read moreDisgusting rooms, rude staff, dirty place! Avoid! This place is a dump. Rooms are incredibly moldy and damp smelling. The place is just so shabby, from the unkempt rug when you walk in, to the furnishings.
During our stay, our initial room was moldy so we moved to a less moldy room and it took me about a half an hour to realize that they had stuck a bathroom air freshener on the wall to mask the smell. Never have I seen a bathroom air freshener on a wall of a hotel room. The smell of the downstairs rooms is so potently moldy and unhealthy that i had to go buy my own Febreze to help it. ( absolutely would have checked out early but all the other hotels in the area were booked.) Pool was green, seating around pool was missing all cushions, see images (just a metal frame), missing tiles and broken skimmer outlets, cigarette butts around.
Rooms: no cable box, just low def xfinity adapters so nice 480p resolution on the TVs and the channels got so pixelated (from over splicing coaxial cable..) that the cable doesnt even work/ . Wifi was "down" also.... For god sakes even the front lobby smells and the "Ramada " carpet isn't even clean.....
During the 2 night stay, our room didnt get cleaned once, no beds made or new towels left.. . Staff seems to respond to similar complaints from many customers all day long (we know bc we stayed in first room next to lobby). No one seemed happy at the front desk.
Seems as if the mgmt are trying to cut corners and run this place on the cheap... sketchy vibe from them (its never reassuring to be hearing them talk about you in their native language right in front of you). These ppl dont care about the upkeep of the motel, the rooms, nor the satisfaction of their guest...the 4 items in the vending machine showcased this poetically... Goldfish which expired back in April were the only decent option. Beware at checkout too, they try to charge more than you booked for online or not credit you with any promised discounts. Avoid this place. I have never stayed at a...
Read moreFirst, my expectations were not high because this place was the cheapest of the large hotels in the area. I understand, typically, what that means: not updated, a little wear and tear. Maybe some mismatched wall paper. Unkempt grounds. But hotels are meant for sleeping and nothing more. So I don't mind basic or outdated. I also don't mind that the AC unit was at least 2, maybe 3 decades old. It did work. Mostly.
But I do mind dirty. I could overlook the odd hole in the wall above my bed. I can't overlook the fact that the carpet was so gross that I had to leave my shoes on. It stained my feet. It almost felt damp...
The flat surfaces in the bathroom were clean but the grout in the shower had either staining or mildew and there was brown residue around the shower head (what any homeowner knows comes from not cleaning for a long time). Also, the no-slip strips in the bath were turning brown (supposed to be white).
I killed a large bug on entry. About an inch long. I believe it came in through the door, like I did, because the weather stripping on the door needs replacing. I could see a lot of daylight.
The bed linens seemed clean. I did like the pillows (not overstuffed sizes so you can actually use them). The little coffee maker seemed new and worked - similar style to other hotels.
The gentleman at check in and the lady at check out were easy and made quick work of the process.
Obviously someone is trying to maintain some cleanliness. Which is why I didn't give a one star review. I've been in some cheap/rough hotels. I just don't believe I need to spend $$$ when I only need a place to sleep. But this one is definitely too dirty for a...
