Worst experience of my life. My boyfriend checked us in this hotel because everything else around Reno was booked and 1st off the parking lot is disgusting and filled with drug addicts and tweakers and prostitutes, and underneath the stairs they had so much trash just sitting there on the ground for any and every guest to see, by the laundry room there is some stinky rooms that smell like animal feces or something dead. People told me they've lived here for years and personally I think that's disgusting. When we got into our room the floor wasn't vacuumed and there was pube hairs in the bathtub. We ignored that because not every maid does their jobs like they need to in this world 💩 We lay down on the bed and the comforter blanket had some peanut butter and icecream or something all over which means it hasn't been washed, disgusting, 💩🙈🙉🙊 It only gets worse from here as we finally laid down after stripping the bed of the comforter and the other vanilla hard blanket(which was covered in animal hair by the way) in the dark and started to watch tv when we started getting but by something and we discover some type of bugs and I Google it and it's bed bugs, we look on the sides of the bed and we see a dozen, all of them just clinging and hiding in the side of the bed. Absolutely appaling. Filth filth filthy. I feel so sorry for the people that can only afford this. It's absolutely terrible. If you would do research on bedbugs, you would come to know that Bedbugs feed off of human flesh, which means they are eating you and sucking your blood at night while you are sleeping, they are nocturnal bugs. Feel for the children that have to sleep here. I seen in the reviews that a woman's husband had laid his head down next to a tick while they were here, well this is reno and I highly doubt there is ticks, it's bed bugs and that review was only 4 months ago so they apparently haven't resolved the issue. I can pretty much imagine them being in every room in this hotel wo if you really need somewhere and want to sleep with bugs all over you sucking your blood, this is the place. The maids are also very VERY RUDE. This is the most disgusting place I've ever had the displeasure of staying at. Desk clerk is Very rude also and would not listen to us the next day. WORST HOTEL EVER. PLEASE CHOOSE SOMETHING ELSE. This place needs condemned until management handles the bug issue they have and the smell of animal feces down the bottom hall by the laundry room. Glass everywhere. Trash everywhere and the maids don't even pick up a piece of trash in the parking lot beside the hotel side walk. Just absolutely gross. Do not stay here. There is just as cheap hotels very close near, maybe even worth the extra dollar. To hell with that place. I do not recommend to anyone at all, of any life style. Prayers to their guests. Absolutely sick. I will never stay...
Read moreWe spent one night at the Econo Lodge in Reno, Nevada due to last minute golf trip with my buddy. Trying to book a Saturday||arrival in Reno at this time was difficult if you do not want to pay a premium price.||||The Econo Lodge is located right next to Interstate 80 and you can hear the vehicle noise from I-80. Next to the Lodge is a Dennys restaurant and across the street is Carrow's restaurant. The Econo Lodge is a long walk to downtown Reno where most of Large Casinos are located.||||The room was small with one single bed and one queen bed.||There is small desk and dresser. The television had the basic channels. You can hear through the walls and there was noisy garbage truck in the early a.m. picking up trash from the Dennys. The bed was a bit soft for my liking. Despite this I did sleep okay.||Sheets and towels are thin and economy.||||Since it was a Saturday night the Econo lodge appeared to have full occupancy.||||The Econo Lodge's continental breakfeast is not much so we ate at the Denny's resturant on the property.||||For dinner we ate at the Harrah's Buffet twice. Which is the best of all of the Casino buffets for quality. Breakfast at the Mel's Diner at the Sands Regency was better than Dennys but was still average.||||I was lucky and won money gambling at both Harrahs and the Sands Regency, where we spent the next night.||||The best part of our trip was the golf. We played at muni golf course in Sparks called Wildcreek. Wildcreek was in very good condition and we paid internet rate of $38.00 for a Sunday mid day tee time. Wildcreek is challenging course and for the price you can not beat it.||||The next day we drove to the town of Portola (1 hour Northwest of Reno) to the Nakoma Restort to play the Nakoma Resort Golf course formerly called the Dragon. This is one of my most favorite courses due to the challenging holes and very scenic surroundings. If you can play tight mountain courses then I recommend it. Putting is tricky at Nakoma!||||I only recommend staying at Econo Lodge as a last minute and only for quick night and if you can get a rate below $70.00. It is your basic no frills Econo property. There are much better properties in Reno if you have more time booking in advance. It is Econo property and you do not get much for...
Read moreThis motel is one of the worst in Reno. I gave It two of five stars because the front desk lady is really nice and the price will fit in anyones budget.
It is not associated with Americas Best Value Inn. The price is right, but that's about it. The building is old and falling apart. I'm a local, After driving past this motel for years and visiting people here and there, the only thing that has been changed over the years is The paint on the door.
The rooms are from the 70s. Carpet has gum and other random stains on it. All the furniture in my non-smoking room had burn marks. The chair had old French fries in it and felt gross to even sit on. The bed had one of those old throws you imagine when you see an old motel room. The matiress had no bugs but was plane flithly, what I assume was white is now yellow. The bathroom door had punch holes in it. The shower head drizzled from the scum. Old, non-flat screen tv. Lamps had no bulbs. In-room Fridge rattles and stinks. Wells Ave. Brings lots of shady people that scream and yell throughout the night.
If you need a place to rest your head. I guess it'll work. But don't stay here if you dont have to. I will never stay here, I'm just visiting. I hate to...
