A great venue for a multitude of various types of events from Monster Jam to the Reno Rodeo. They provide a number of family-friendly events that even my smallest kids enjoy. The downside: the price tag. Every time we go, it's literally hundreds of dollars between the show tickets, parking and concessions. It would be nice to be able to take the family out without breaking the bank. The easiest way to get more for your money is research the event you want to attend and get BOGOs or special pricing by buying tickets in advance. Parking off the lot in surrounding neighborhoods (in legal parking spots) and walking to the venue will save as well. Lastly, eat before you arrive and only plan to "snack" while you're there. It's mostly crappy concession-type food anyway, so you won't be missing out on much. And some events are general seating only (no assigned seats) so if you want a good spot, get there early or...
Read moreHighly disappointed.
Took my 3 year old niece, who is in love with dinosaurs, and most of our time there was coming up with excuses why it was laid out the way it was.
Half of the dinosaurs were broken and the ones that did function had exposed wires. One was missing part of its tail so they replaced it with part of a bush.
My niece loved it because we worked to make her love it. But it was not worth the $75.
My recommendation? I, personally, believe that they needed partnerships. Local. Why not reach out to a local business like Moana Nursery and build an environment where you drive through the Event Center with the dinosaurs popping out of the shrubbery? Or TMCC's drama department to paint backgrounds and act as park rangers?
Anything to build up the experience and to give back to the community with supporting local businesses...

We purchased tickets that had a row and seat number on them, only to find out that they don't honor the numbers. The seats filled up early, which a few thousand people standing in the isles, and walkways during the entire show. How does the Reno, NV. fire marshal allow this? It was a horrible experience. The lack off seats really brought up the tension levels of people in the audience, we saw people constantly arguing over seats. Monster Jam in Reno is a terrible atmosphere for families and kids to be at. I recommend you keep your children away from Monster...
