Cafe Con Papi — Restaurant in Reno

Came here because of the coffee plantano. . The outside looks run down. The inside is nice and dark with woods and plants. Love the esthetic. Love the comfy leather chairs and green velvet couches. With big green monstera plants. . Coffee plantano - coffee mixed with plantain which can be mistakenly like bannana flavor. It was a latte with oat milk instead of the regular milk. The additional charge is 1 dollar for oat milk. The sweetness I have them make it half sweet. It was perfect hot drink and smooth for the chilly weather in Feb 2024. . Quiche - spinach with cheese - this was ok and nothing special. Tasted good though, not too heavy in cheese. . Overall it's a good coffee shop. I love the drink and vibe. Will be back. After a few days in Reno, I was in desperate need for caffeine and was excited to see that I could get a Cafe Cubano less than 10 minutes away from my hotel. I was dreaming of the coffee I had while in Miami years ago and let me just say, this place knows what they are doing. I certainly didn't need a Cubano and cafe con leche, but alas, that is what I ordered and could not be happier. I am thinking about hitting this place later to get one on ice. SO GOOD! I LOVE this place, and if you haven't been here yet you should definitely stop by! The owner has put a lot of work into the details of the place - murals, plants, comfy seating areas indoors and out, and of course the food and coffee menu. My favorite drink is the Cafe Con Platano (Coffee with BANANA??? Is that a thing? YES!!!) which I tried on my first visit and have ordered ever since.
