It started with an ozone machine left in the room and a odd odor I thought came from the machine. Probably should’ve requested a new room but we were tired from traveling. Called the front desk for pickup and they said someone would be right up, front desk called to confirm it was our room 2 hours later and once again said it would be picked up right away. There was no place to put it out of my toddlers reach so I finally placed it in the hall, it took them 2 days to pick it up despite housekeeping cleaning other rooms nearby each day.
The smoke odor was noticeable more and more each day.
The beds are good for one nights sleep but are extra soft and too soft for 2 adults to share and be comfortable with how much you sink in.
There’s a super bright blinking light on the smoke detector that kept my toddler and I awake
As other reviews here mentioned, the insulation was poor. We heard road noises and the people above us. I felt bad for the people below us since our toddler isn’t good at managing his steps yet so we tried to keep him in bed as late as we could in the morning. Thankfully I’d read the reviews and brought a white noise machine but not everyone will have that option.
Breakfast was super inconsistent, staff did not check it often enough to keep the grab and go items fully stocked. The more popular breakfast sandwiches you had to be there at the right time to get one, early arrival to breakfast didn’t always help either.
The bathroom was amazing, tall toilets, great mirror, not bad water pressure and big shower and shower head.
The space was very well designed for better usability than most hotel rooms
For Boston area the parking was very good. Free for overnight stays, the airport parking area is roped off and under the hotel so it’ll be mostly protected from the elements but they do double park so you have to leave your key if you stay and fly.
We liked the distance from Salem and all the main Boston attractions. Being in revere gave us options to get to different places with several routes for each place incase traffic or an accident backed up a tunnel or bridge.
Overall okay, definitely expected more from a brand new hotel. I should’ve brought up the other problems besides the ozone machine to staff but after the way that was handled I doubted anything else would’ve been fixed. They didn’t seem to really care about anything including...
Read moreThis has been the worst customer service experience I've ever had. We left our car there, when we flew to Hawaii for 2 weeks. When we came back, after a 12 hour flight..all me and my family wanted to do was get our car and go home. Upon calling for a shuttle pick up, to bring us to the hotel and get our car back..I was told by Darren that it would be about an hour before the shuttle would pick us up. When I asked him why it would take so long, I was told rudely that's the way it was. After getting disconnected, I called back and again Darren picked up the phone...when I asked him if I can talk to the manager to see why me, my wife and 2 small kids have to wait for a shuttle for an hour, I was told by him that I would not be talking to a manager and he hung up on me. After numerous attempts at calling back, Darren kept on picking up the phone and hanging up. I swear this felt surreal, I never imagined that something like this was even possible...especially in this country. Finally my wife was able to get through, because Darren's shift ended and he left. Person that answered the phone, sent the shuttle out and gave us Darren's name. He also gave us the managers name, (Bernie Auch) who we tried calling numerous times as well to make a complaint...also left a message. Unfortunately the manager never responded back to us. It's been almost a week. To make matters worse, after we drove away, both of our front tires went flat...I honestly don't think that was a coincidence. Whatever you do, don't!!!! Ever book with this establishment.
To answer to your response..I understand that you have a policy of sending shuttle once every hour, that is fine I don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with your staff being rude, hanging up on me and my wife numerous times, and obviously lying to me, because the 2nd person that finally answered the phone told me that the previous guy's on shift name was Darren. And I did call and left a message...so I am not too sure about you always responding to missed calls, because you never returned my call. I am still wondering how I got 2 flat tires, right after I left your establishment...maybe you should check your cameras, because that's a pretty big deal, and whatever that guy's name is, he should not be working or interacting with any...
Read moreMy wife and I recently stayed here for one night on the way back home after a trip to Maine. We wanted a place where we could drop off our rental vehicle prior to our morning flight and utilize the shuttle. Overall impression of the hotel and staff was very favorable. The staff were all dressed very casually in t-shirts but were easily identifiable. Common areas were clean and open. A nice assortment of snacks, premade food, and beverages were also available downstairs. Check-in was fast and easy. Our room wasn't huge but was very nice with vinyl flooring which is actually refreshing as I feel it gets cleaned better. Stand up shower was big and roomy. After staying in a small B&B all week it was nice to be greeted with a beautiful big screen TV to hang out and relax. We had time to kill as we arrived early in the afternoon and wanted to check out Boston. The staff was extremely helpful in assisting us with local public transportation. As a result, we figured out we could get to downtown for free after dropping off our rental car. After checking out downtown for a bit we took the subway back and had about a twenty-minute walk back through the local neighborhood which was pleasant. The only thing to be aware of is there does not seem to be much food within walking distance of the hotel and if you do you'll be walking on super busy streets with lots of vehicle traffic. One thing to note is to make sure you signup for a shuttle time either the night before or first thing in the morning and they do fill up. We had to take a bit earlier shuttle which was no big deal but we would have been pushed if we had come downstairs thinking we would just hop on the next one. Again, overall great experience and we would...
