I've stayed here multiple times for multiple weeks. On more than one occasion I've gotten a room in which the shower provided only lukewarm water barely enough to keep from getting cold while still in the shower. I mentioned it to the staff, but it seems to be a consistent issue. Another issue that I had recently was that they allow trucks to park out front with their refrigeration units running. If you are unlucky enough to be in one of the rooms facing one of these trucks, you get to listen to the refrigeration unit either running or turning off and on. Not ideal. Another room had a window completely locked with a safety lock that was bolted in with an Allen wrench bolt and I couldn't open the window. I asked for them to have someone move the lock and it never happened. I like to get fresh air into my room and I couldn't do it. The thermostat was also set such that you couldn't get it to cool down anything below either 68 or 70°. I like to sleep snuggled in my bed in a cold room and it wasn't good because I couldn't even get cool fresh air in my room with the window locked. So I lost a decent night of sleep. Therefore these kind of things make me give it a three-star review for rooms and service. When I mentioned something about the trucks running out front, I was told that the trucks have nowhere else to park. The problem is then that 30 people get to listen to one truck running off and on all night so that one individual can park their rig out front. You also cannot legally turn into this place from the west off the main road if you are headed southbound which makes it more difficult to access. I would stay in this place again, but it's not my top pick...
Read moreMy recent stay at this Holiday Inn was, without a doubt, the worst IHG experience I've ever had. From disruptive noise to malfunctioning amenities and a poorly managed breakfast, it was a complete disaster.
The most egregious issue was the incessant noise from the room above us. The thin ceilings/floors offered absolutely no sound insulation. Our upstairs neighbor paced constantly, and I can only describe the sound as resembling a "drunk rhino" stomping around. It was incredibly disruptive, making sleep impossible. We contacted the front desk at both midnight and 3 a.m., pleading for assistance. Unfortunately, due to the hotel being fully booked, they were unable to move us or resolve the noise issue. While they offered some IHG points as compensation, I have yet to receive them.
The problems didn't stop with the noise. The furniture in our room creaked and groaned with every movement, and several electronic items malfunctioned. It felt like everything in the room was on its last leg.
The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. Items were constantly running out, and the staff was incredibly slow to refill them. This led to long waits and a generally chaotic atmosphere.
Overall, this stay was a complete and utter failure. The combination of disruptive noise, faulty amenities, and a poorly managed breakfast made for a truly miserable experience. I strongly advise others to avoid this particular Holiday Inn. I hope IHG takes this feedback seriously and addresses these...
