||I made a reservation and PAID on the app. I got a membership discount so I was really excited to go. The pictures looked great, and it was a reasonable price… ||I made my reservation earlier in the night around 8-9pm. I knew I would be arriving later than 10pm and it said if I am I needed to call and let them know prior. ||I called and let him know as soon as I paid. I got a confirmation number sent to me and everything. A receipt and all. My bank account was definitely charged. When I called the hotel, the person who answered the phone was definitely the person who gave us our key.. I also told him I would be arriving close to 3-4am. He told me that it was okay. ||Anyways, when we arrive my fiancé goes to the counter and tells the man we have a reservation. This man proceeded to argue with my fiancé for about 5 minutes straight. Telling him that he needed to take our card to charge us the rest of the hotel fee.. when I already had a reservation. He demanded over and over that he take my card and charge more money. When I showed him my call log from calling him his attitude completely changed and he said sorry to me (but that didn’t change the way he just treated us at 3:45 in the morning when we’ve been driving ALL day). ||I reserved a king room with a remodeled bathroom in it with nice tile and everything. I was excited for the shower!||He told us that he didn’t have it available anymore (after I called to check in at 9pm) and that he would give us a different room (that was cheaper than what I paid for). I was so damn tired I didn’t care I just said whatever and give me the key at that point. I was really disappointed in not getting my room after all of that. He even handed me MY RECEIPT. How can you try to charge me extra and then give me my receipt? Anyways we go to the room and get our stuff inside. Go to start the shower and I notice there’s black mold everywhere in the bathroom (and the shower is definitely NOT remodeled). We didn’t even end up showering because of how unsafe that is to be exposed to.. I didn’t even want to stay the night at that point because we were still in a room with black mold! ||||I would never recommend this place to anyone. Horrible customer service. Very disrespectful. Read moreI'm not the pickiest person, but I won't choose just any old place to stay for my family & I. About 8 years ago, I booked this hotel room for a quick trip. My daughter had a dance competition. The room was 10 minutes from the coliseum. It was affordable, clean, comfy & they had breakfast.
My husband & I chose it again for yet another quick trip around 2019 & boom, another great experience.
Fast forward to last week. My daughter had a cheer competition. I figured we'd keep the tradition going. We got the room key & proceeded to inspect the room before settling in. Immediately, you could tell the rooms weren't being kept up like they used to. There were holes in the bedspread & a nice sized hole in the porcelain bath tub. I went to the front & requested a different room.
Opened the door to the new room, once again...NOT CLEAN! The room smelled like old food & curry. It was unbearable. I knew the room hadn't been cleaned properly & just like the previous room, you could see the dirty looking toilets & tub stains from not cleaning regularly. There was a huge noticable dent in the bed on one side. This made me think that someone had been living in that particular room.
I headed over to the bathroom area & there were 4 GNATS/BUGS crawling around the sink. They didn't fly away or anything. I was completely disgusted.
Let's not forget that upon arrival they told me "oh yea we don't serve breakfast anymore because of Covid". I don't think I would've wanted their breakfast anyway 🤢 save your money & add a little more to it so that you can book a clean, comfy hotel for your family! This place is disgusting. Idk if it's new management or what, but anything is better than this.
He offered to show me a 3rd room. There's no way it should take 3 & 4 times to find a room decent enough. I had seen all I needed to see. The place was nasty. Read moreThis used be a decent place to stay at over the years. I work field service and have been for almost 10 years, and have stayed at this hotel numerous times during that time. In the last few (2-3) years, there has been a decline in the quality of this hotel. In the most recent stay, my biggest complaint (and I dont generally ever complain much publicly) is the obvious presence (especially at night) of person(s) outside (and probably in the rooms) of ongoing drug deals and prostitution. It has gotten worse over time, especially recently, as I mentioned. The room(s) themselves were/have not been that bad, with the exception of the beds being terribly uncomfortable. That, and the "breakfast" that used to be up front in the lobby, essentially no longer exists. I have been a Wyndham diamond member for several years, and have stayed in numerous hotels across Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, etc. This hotel has turned into one of worst ones I have stayed in yet. I dont know how this establishment can be associated with Wyndham at this point. I dont forsee this hotel being in business for much longer, unless some SERIOUS housecleaning (both figuratively and literally) is done and VERY soon.
