We were satisfied with our staying at Hotel 1550. Everything was good, except the shuttle service. When I came to SFO I had to wait outside for an hour for the shuttle. Next morning the asian shuttle driver with gray beard was pretty rude and refused to pick up my husband from airport who has waited there for a shuttle for one and half hour. This driver simply didn't stop for picking up. My husband had to take an Uber at his expense. The shuttle driver had terrible behavior and bad attitude to guests. He also asked directly for the tips. I have sent a complaint on this driver to the hotel manager. Other two drivers were fine and helpful. Hotel stuff are friendly. Our rooms were clean. The first kingbed room was very small and noisy from airplans, but the second room with two beds was nice and comfortable.

Great location, near San Francisco airport. In fact can hear planes throughout the night. The price plus the proximity to the airport makes this a great value. The rooms are nice but have thin walls. We stayed on Christmas night and listened to a party outside in the parking lot. Not to be a Grinch, but I'm surprised no one told them to disperse as they partied until midnight. The breakfast was weird, the only protein was frozen omelettes that needed to be in a microwave for 3 minutes. There was one microwave and a huge congestion of people waiting to put their omelette in the microwave. 30 minutes and 10 omelettes later I got to place my omelette in the microwave, after three minutes it was hot but did not even taste good. How does one mess up on a cheese omelette?!?

The hotel, a Wyndham property, is surprising in it's price until you experience an overnight. There was trash on the floor behind the garbage basket, mold on the corners of the shower enclosure, a run-down look to the bathroom in general. The internet is intermittent and the dish Network receiver clicks like an errant hard drive all night long. The bed has layers of bedding that gets lumpy and wadded in short order. The breakfast wasn't bad except for the nasty tasting margarine for the waffles. The room was fairly clean (excepting empty water bottle earlier mentioned) and the TV had an plethora of channels.

When I first saw the outside of the hotel I thought the room would not serve a good experience. I was wrong and I have the pictures to prove it. The hotel began renovations in November 2015 & hence the reason for the furniture and refeigerators, ect., outside in the garage area, so please do not be put off if you see this. The owners of this hotel have spent a good amount of money renovating this place. The carpets are new, the furniture is new, the bathroom is completely new, even the dry wall and paint is fresh. If you are in this area, I highly recommend this place. Stay here. You WILL have a good experience. The bed sheets are clean and towels are crispy white and smell clean. The tile in the bathroom is brand new so no black scum in-between the tiles. The bathroom curtain is new and even the window curtain is new. Overall, I give this place five stars. There is a convenient store right in front of the hotel with IN and Out Burger nearby, Walgreens, Safeway, etc. Also, they serve breakfast and the staff seems very nice. I am a picky person and like cleanliness and I am more than pleased staying here. I hope my review is helpful. Don't believe the nonsense and negative review left by others (because it might have been when the old owners ran the place and the hotel was not up to par). This hotel deserves a...

FAECES ON THE FLOOR - DO NOT STAY HERE. There was poo on the floor. This is not a joke. Not long after checking in we saw, on the carpet near the lamp, two pieces of faeces. I presume it was from a dog although the property insists they don't allow pets. Reception moved us to another room. However, despite giving management 4 opportunities to apologise, acknowledge how disgusting this is and consider some kind of reimbursement, the best they've managed is "sorry for the inconvenience". They really don't care that this is a serious health violation, not just an inconvenience. I'm just shocked at how little they care about how disgusting this is. Their consideration for us as customers is non-existent, as is their attention to cleaning and hygiene. Regarding the room we were moved to, it felt stuffy and we couldn't open the window due to road noise and couldn't use the air conditioner as it was so loud. It felt dirty just being in the hotel and we had a poor rest. Thankfully we were up and out very early for our flight. Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Do not stay here, there are plenty of other options near San...
