Slumberland Motel — Hotel in Sanford

THE KOREAN OWNERS WERE SO RUDE AT THIS MOTEL! YES IT IS THE CHEAPEST DAILY, HOWEVER THEY HAVE 10 WEEKLY ROOMS THAT ARE $240 A WEEK BUT THEY CHARGE YOU BY THE DAY AND SAY THAT THE WEEKLY ARE FULL SO THEY CAN GET AN EXTRA HUNDRED DOLLARS OUT OF YOU PER WEEK! FRAUD! I STAYED THERE FOR A WEEK AND NOW MOVED INTO A VERY NICE ROOMING HOUSE/HOTEL FOR $175 WEEKLY. THE HUSBAND AND WIFE ARE THE OWNERS AND THEY LIVE IN THE BACK OF THE OFFICE. THEY COMES ALL THE WAY OUT OF THERE TO WALK OVER TO ME AND OTHERS WHILE WE'RE OUTSIDE SMOKING TO TELL US TO BE QUIET IT IS 11PM GO BACK IN YOUR ROOMS. THERE ISN'T ANY CURFEWS AT HOTELS BESIDES THERE WEREN'T ANY SIGNS. THEY ALSO HAVE SIGNS STATING THAT THEY ACCEPT ALL MAJOR CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS, BUT THEY DON'T! THERE ARE LOTS OF ROACHES AND LIZARDS AND OTHER BUGS IN THE ROOM. AND THEY ONLY PUT THE WHITE CLEAN TOWELS IN THE CHECKED OUT ROOMS SO WHEN YOU 1ST GET THERE YOU ARE IMPRESSED. THEN YOU GET THE DIRTY DINGY LOOKING WASH CLOTHES AND TOWELS THERE AFTER. THE HOUSEKEEPER THAT ONLY WORKS 3 DAYS A WEEK TOLD ME THAT. SHE ALSO TOLD ME THE LADY IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL TO HER AS WELL AND TALKS TO HER LIKE A CHILD. I KNOW BECAUSE SHE DID IT TO ME AND I RECORDED EVERY BIT OF IT! CHECK THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU SITE TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT DUMPERLAND MOTEL I MEAN SLUMPERLAND. I MEANT SLUMBERLAND SORRY. MOST PEOPLE THERE HAS BEEN LIVING THERE FOR A YEAR, 2 YEARS, 7 MONTHS, ECT BUT THEY ARE SCARED TO SAY SOMETHING BECAUSE OF HER RETALIATING AND KICKING THEM OUT. SHE TOLD ME THAT I CANNOT ASK FOR TOWELS AFTER 11AM...AGAIN NO SIGN. JUST MAKING UP RULES AS SHE GOES ALONG. THEY EITHER NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN OR SOMEBODY ELSE NEEDS TO TAKE OVER. SHE ACTS AS IF SHE NO SPEAK A ENGLISH, JUST SAY YOU ARE A DOLLAR SHORT THEN YOU WILL SEE SHE SPEAKS PERFECT ENGLISH. SHE DOESN'T ACCEPT CHANGE EITHER. O GAVE HER $2 IN CHANGE BECAUSE SHE WOULDN'T TAKE MY DEBIT CARD AND I DIDN'T WANT TO GET CHARGED AT THE ATM FOR A COUPLE OF BUCKS. NO SIGN! DON'T ASK ANY QUESTIONS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE THREATEN TO BE KICKED OUT. I WAS VERY RESPECTFUL THE ENTIRE TIME THAT I WAS THERE. SHE DIDN'T LIKE IT BECAUSE I STOOD UP TO HER AND ASKED QUESTIONS WHEN THINGS DIDN'T SEEM RIGHT. IT IS JUST TOO MUCH TO TYPE HERE. BUT IT WAS SO BAD THAT I WAS PREPARED TO SLEEP IN MY CAR HAD I NOT FOUND THIS PLACE TODAY BEFORE I WOULD STAY THERE AND BE DISRESPECTED AND GET PREYED UPON BECAUSE I WAS IN NEED OF SOMEWHERE TO SLEEP AND GET CHEATED....

The worst customer service experience I've ever endured, first they told me to call back at 12 to see if they had any rooms available I called back and left a message but they didn't answer the phone until 2:30. I got there and the lady checking people in was so rude when she saw the number I wrote down she says "oh you're the one that left the message" so you didn't call back?then she told me they don't accept cards usually they only do cash in what day and age do you not take cards? then when she tried to charge my card she said my car didn't work and made it seem like it was my fault and told me I needed to go to ATM and bring her money I called my bank and I had just got a whole check in! it wasn't my card it was her machine she just didn't want to accept the card! then when I try to use a credit card she said they don't accept credit cards so what's the whole point of them even having a card machine? She was extremely rude inpatient and the worst person I've ever encountered that I actually was about to give my money to! I ended up going to the hotel down the street that TOOK MY CARD it cost me a little bit more money but it was worth it if I didn't have to be around that foolishness. If I were you take heed to my warning, that's not where you want to be it's an even better Hotel just 5 minutes walk from there called Woodspring Suites check them out if you go online the rates are a little cheaper and they're well worth it for a cheap stay. forget! Slumberland Motel! I wouldn't even keep my eyes open to pass that place that's right I said I rather risk crashing a car than to even look in that direction Slumberland motels do...

This hotel has severe bed bugs, and management makes no sense, and owners treat American citizens like DOGS! They lack respect and honor. Too expensive for lack of service. When it comes to replacing anything in the rooms. They don't really have concerns for the people's health and no sincerity in apologies. They talk about you in a different language. You cant have visitors AT ALL & EVERYTHING has a fine of $150. Refuse to disinfect bathrooms properly and spray powder water to cover up fowl odors that dont do well..WHERE ARE THE PREVIOUS OWNERS? I wouldn't doubt this hotel to go down under very soon. Can you say...FLUSHSHSHSH! I wouldn't even have given 1 star, but it's ONLY WAY to be able to leave a comment...if you have an account, download Priceline. You can get better rooms for the same price or cheaper..At least it would...
