Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Sanford

This is the worst popeyes ever!!! First of all I always have problems here. It only because they are the only one near me that i keep trying to go back when they get new management. But its as if they just keep getting worse than before. Tonight I sat in the drive thru for 15 minutes and there were only 3 cars ahead of me. Those cars left and I was still sitting there waiting to have my order taken. After about 20 minutes I asked to order again and the came across thte speaker laughing and joking saying they have alot of people inside " not my son ernt inside and there was only 2 people online". Finally after another 10 minutes the female took my order and I pulled around. The staff was inside laughing and playing not working I could see no one was in the store. So i asked the girl at the window REALLY THIS WHAT YALL DOING and she laugh and said "what?" it turns out the woman at the drive thru name was JENNIFER and she was rude and had no idea what profrssionalism was. She was rude about taking my money because i questioned her on her action so i told her "that i would jump thru the window and whip her ass if she continued to be rude" to be fair i was pissed. But i told her i didnt want her to help me and to get the manager. she didnt want to but her co-workers " and started acting like they were fighting each other" thought it was funny so they went and got the manager. She didnt care either but she did care when i told her to give me the number to corporate thrn it wasnt funny. She had the nerve to gibe me the wrong number but i'm no dummy so I googled it. When i got the number I told het she gave me the wrong number so dhe point to the window and said look here there is the number and I'll make your Food." of course i watched her because after that GOD only know what they would of done to my food. I guess she felt guilty so she thru in a 3 extra pieces of chicken like that was gonna stop me from contacting corporate. Wrong. I truly love Popeye's spicy chicken with the Cajun spices. I have been a fan since the ’80s and love the food. I had been inspecting a 101-year-old home in Orlando and missed lunch so I was really hungry. My wife asked if I could pick something up on the way home. This was not my first visit to the Sanford location but traffic was backed up on I-4 so I took the back way home instead, I stopped here instead of the Orange City location. I ordered the 12 piece family meal with mash potatoes, coleslaw, and an additional large mac n’ cheese. While sitting in the line, I could see all the old grease stains around the back door and the dirty garden hose left out for someone to trip over. I was thinking, they should screen this area off if they were not going to keep it clean. The sight honestly killed my appetite. Just then, my wife called and asked if I would get an additional large mash potato and large coleslaw. The size of the sides seemed to have been getting smaller over the years or maybe it is just my family is growing. When I got to the window, I asked the drive-thru cashier if I could add the extra items. She slammed her open hand down on the stainless steel counter and went off to get the manager. The manager said yes to adding the two extra items at the window. The cashier gave me the new total and it was only $3 more than the first total $38. I knew something was wrong but did not want any further conflict with this woman. The food was good as usual but the chicken had an old oil flavor aftertaste. I will do my best to avoid this location in the future even if it means staying on I-4 when it is backed up at the bridge. THE BEST POPEYES ANYWHERE- I am shocked that anyone could give this Popeye's less than 5 stars..I drive extremely out of the way specifically to go to this location by Florida Ave/27th street and 17-92. I have only been there during the day, on Saturdays and Sundays, so I can't speak to experience at any other time. But my experiences have been great! Let me tell you, I get treated better here than in fancier restaurants, and that has been my experience each time I have gone. Granted, I have returned a total of 3 times, because I don't live nearby. First, I am welcomed in, which is so nice. The manager really cares about the tables being cleaned and cares about customers. The associates are polite and friendly and helpful. They asked if I needed sauce, or napkins and brought some to the table, which was so nice! The people here work really hard, and they care about their job. They seem to get along and speak nicely and smile to each other, which also makes for a great experience. I have been meaning to write a review for awhile to let others know how wonderful this location is. I never had been to a Popeyes and someone brought me here. I didn't know anything about the menu, and the person taking my order was helpful. I have not used the drive-thru, only ate inside. Everything was delicious. In fact, the chicken sandwich is the best fast-food chicken sandwich I have had. This location is breath of fresh air. I hope everyone who works here feels that their services are...
