My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 50th anniversary in a special way. We couldn't think of a more memorable way than to take our family ( 7 adults and our five-year old grandson) on safari. Originally, we went on safari with our two daughters with Jungle Safaris Africa (at that time Leopard Tours) in 1995. We had an amazing experience, so we were delighted to be able to book a private tour with Jungle Safaris Africa again in 2024. On both trips we traveled in June so we could see the migration of animals from Tanzania to Kenya. Jungle Safaris Africa made arranging the safari easy. You work with the same individual throughout the course of planning your safari. This means they get to know you, your personal preferences, and needs. No matter how often I emailed with questions, the response from our tour planner was always prompt and courteous.

We were on safari for seven days and six nights. From the moment we landed in Kilimanjaro until we departed a week later, our driver/guides handled every detail for us. They were both extremely knowledgeable, professional, and considerate. They wanted us to have the best possble experience and went out of their way to make sure that happened.

There is simply nothing as breathtaking as seeing African wildlife in their natural habitat. Tanzania is home to so many species of animals. Whether touring the Ngorongoro Crater, traveling through the Serengeti, exploring Lake Manyara, or Arusha National Park, we were thrilled by the abundance of wildlife. We saw herds of elephants, zebras, buffalo, wildebeests, and antelope, pods of hippos, hyenas, warthogs, lions, leopards, monkeys, ostriches, crown cranes, etc.

The lodges in the parks are beautifully maintained and blend with the natural landscape. The food is excellent, is served buffet style, and offers a variety that pleases everyone. There is also the option of camping in the Serengeti. What an experience that was. My grandson exclaimed, " There are zebras in our backyard!" as we drove into the camp.

We just returned from what was hands down the best vacation of our lives, all thanks to Jungle Safaris! From the moment we started planning, every detail from flights and accommodations to the breathtaking game drives was flawlessly executed. Their professionalism and attention to detail truly blew us away.

Our guide, Francis, became like family to us. His deep knowledge of the wildlife and genuine passion for the jungle added so much meaning to each day. He went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable, especially for our 6-year-old daughter. She had her heart set on seeing a lion, and thanks to the team’s thoughtful planning and flexibility, she got to witness the mighty king of the savanna up close and it was pure magic.

Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. It was our daughters birthday month and she was celebrated literally everywhere! The level of care they showed, even down to the little things like the spotless safari jeeps stocked with snacks and drinks made all the difference. They even stayed in touch while we were on the trip to ensure everything was perfect and helped us make adjustments as needed.
