Confessing first that we had a trendier hotel in downtown Santa Rosa. But the road out front was being ground up and resurfaced from 1am-6am (What demonic city planner decided THAT was a good idea?). So we ran away. This hotel was a panicked second choice and we were just grateful to have a place at all, so last minute. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised. It was so good, we wish we stayed all three nights here. I’ve stayed in Hilton’s before, but never a Hampton. This one is almost brand new - maybe 2 years old. It’s modern, fresh, really well designed, sparkly and spacious. Debi at the front desk let us check in really early. I want to put her on my Christmas gift list forever for being so accommodating. We hadn’t slept at all the night before and she really rescued us by doing that. Everyone at the front desk was exactly the same. Kind, nice, pleasant and helpful. We had a king suite. Get one. It’s huge. Has a couch, a little bar area with microwave and a large bathroom. Shower is perfect. It’s not that pricey at all given what things cost in the Sonoma area. ||The free breakfast is really good. Not your usual hotel chain fare. Lots of choices for any diet. There is a bar in the lobby. Free parking. And free tea and coffee all day in the lobby. It’s across the street from some kind of hospital ( no ambulances) and a residential area. It’s not in the downtown core, but closer to highways (we didn’t hear highway noise at all) If you’re going to wineries, you are going to be on those highways all day. So it’s actually the perfect location Highly...
Read moreThis is a new hotel in a great location. The room was a good size with a separate seating area from the sleeping space. The breakfast had lots of options, and the gym equipment was perfect for our needs. We stayed two nights and on our last morning it all went downhill. We woke to the fire alarm and couldn’t get back to sleep so we decided to hit the gym. We stopped at the front desk and were informed that a pipe had burst and caused the alarm (no apologies given, and no warning of any issues). We returned to our room after our workout and discovered there was no hot water. A call to the front desk confirmed that the water issue would take several hours to fix. We had a long day of driving ahead and so we had to dress and leave without a shower. The front desk did apologize for the issues and told me the manager would call later that day. I did get the call and a promise of a refund. That refund never happened because we used the Hilton app to book (?). If you promise a refund you expect one. The manager is new, very nice too, but we are left with a bad memory...
Read moreWe stayed on April 31,2025 I hope this isn’t too long of a review, it’s my honest opinion, based on my actual experience.
Traveling for my business and personal purposes, it’s been hard to find a decent, quality hotel, that was also affordable and conveniently located, especially when you’re tired from traveling for a long time in your car. This Hampton In took the cake, it won in all categories hands down! From the moment we walked in and were greeted by “Maria” (an exceptional host, with a warm smile a friendly, professional demeanor), to the moment we walked into our clean, neat and well designed hotel room, my wife and I could not have been happier. The room was spotless, quiet and the bed & pillows were great, we actually had our 1st good nights sleep for the 1st time in a week. The breakfast was good, the coffee was great, we got back on the road again, refreshed & recharged for our drive home! From now on, it’s Hampton only, all the way! Thank you Maria for such...
