HORRIBLE!!! Do not stay here. We stayed for the weekend and had a terrible experience. We were locked out of our room 5 times within 2 days. We kept having to go down to get our key, re keyed. The front desk worker seemed aggravated like it was our fault. He said, we are keeping it near a phone or credit card and demagnetizing it. We actually had it in my back pocket far away from anything, so that was false. Rooms were so old and out dated, I thought I was going to come home with bed bugs. The floor and room smelled like weed all weekend, I reported it and nothing was done, of course. It was a non smoking hotel. They were redoing the whole carpet on third floor, nobody told us, my son tripped on a workers tool , tools were everywhere!! Nobody cared, customer service was awful! They told me there were no managers on the weekends, they only work Mon- Fri 9-5. We were locked out with our 7 year old at night and nobody was at the front desk to help us for 30 min. Couldn't get into our room until 11pm, once they showed up, the gentlemen had an attitude, no apology, nothing. There was 6 other people waiting, 2 others were also locked out of their rooms and others came to check in. I called the General Manager Monday and of course she didn't care and never returned my call. I called again to talk to the GM, another manager took my name, put me on hold and said the GM was in a meeting. She offered to help. The GM avoided me at all costs, just like their staff. The other lady listened to me and told me she would check the cameras and look at the lock. She called back to tell me, maintenance said the lock was fine, as if I was lying and she couldn't see we went down 5 times to get our card re swiped, she told me she saw on the camera her front desk guy was gone a lot for a long period of time and agreed. She said she will use this to coach her staff and retrain. That was it, no offer of any compensation for a night? Nothing!!! Our crappy experience is going to help train their staff at our expense. We paid for a room we couldn't get into, inconvenienced, dirty, no clean towels, weed smelling and not an offer to give back $133?? As if this huge company Choice hotel couldn't afford $133?? We will never stay at another choice hotel, especially this one. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! I...
Read moreWas not impressed with our most recent stay here. We had an ADA accessible suite on the first floor with pool/hot tub access from the room. Which sounds great, except that the hot tub was not working the entire week we were there. I even brought this to the front desks attention, and it never got fixed during our stay. At the end of our stay it was hot but the jets didn’t work. At least there was the pool, which had a bunch of debris at the bottom and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Oh and speaking of cleanliness, I stepped on toenail clippings in the room with my bare feet. And when I entered the bathroom, there were literal human feces smeared on the wall. And while we’re still on the bathroom subject, we had to keep filling the tank in the toilet because sometimes it wouldn’t flush. The shower was cold one of the days we were there. And before management wants to come at me and say that we should have moved rooms, we literally couldn’t. The individual I was traveling with is disabled and he’s also deathly afraid of anything above the first floor of any building. So we were stuck unless we wanted to go home early. I did bring all of these issues to the front desks attention and they really didn’t seem to care. And for over $200 a night, I would expect much better than this. Which is sad, because we have stayed here before a couple years ago, and it was fantastic. And unfortunately, I have noticed a decline in the quality of choice hotels over the last few years. As a choice rewards gold member, I think this will be my last stay at comfort inn, or any choice hotels establishment for that matter. Very disappointed, because it...
Read moreStaff were lovely and professional . 1. I was unable to access the Wi-Fi for my first two nights of three in the hotel, with over an hour of working with the hotel and remote contractors by telephone to get it to function. I had online work to do so this was a loss of income and peace of mind. 2. I was literally unable to get into my room. The staff were unable to access the room, and maintenance had to be called to investigate. This involved dismantling the door lock, which revealed that the electronic door opener battery needed to be replaced. This was at night when I was returning to the hotel to sleep. I was not offered compensation by the hotel management at the time and asked to call customer service. i spoke to a lovely person who advised me they could compensate me with a voucher for "points". The amount of points I would be compensated with would allow me to cover 50% of the room cost, but of course, in order to rent any room with points, I would have to have more points than they offered, which I could only obtain by spending more money upfront with them. I told them this was unacceptable and actually added insult to injury as it conveyed their way of handling a breach of hospitality on their part was to actually further inconvenience the customer if they wanted any compensation. The advisor suggested he would talk to corporate about their "interesting" policy. After my experience here, I would not only not recommend staying at this Comfort Inn, but also advise against the brand altogether. I advised customer service I would be posting a review and refused their "Points compensation" for the...
