Bob Evans — Restaurant in Sarasota

Ok first I got hot chocolate. It's my FAVORITE THING ABOUT BOB EVANS. I was asked by the hostess what I wanted to drink hot chocolate. A different person brought it told them i was ready to order. They took my order. Ordered hash brown extra crispy eggs pancakes sasuge. I wasSasuke. Hot chocolate in a to go cup I opened the top there was a LITTLE ITTY BITTY line of whip cream I mix it in. I take a sip and it burnt my tounge. Waited... waited waited WAITED FINALLY someone brought me my food again different person. Asked for more whip cream. Was kinda over it by then smh. Then food came out I asked for my hash browns extra crispy, they looked raw. I'm not eating g raw hash browns NO THANKS. PANCAKES LOOKED OLD... but I ate the pancakes. Eggs sasuge. I'm done waiting waiting waiting for someone to give me the ticket. She asked how everything was I said I asked for my hash browns extra crispy they are raw she looks at them and said ok here your ticket. .. uhm huh ok. 🤔 not once was I checked on while eating by the way. Oh and another different lady brought my ticket. So. Hot chocolate was unfinished but didn't say anything about it. And hash browns not even. They didn't care. Cool. Service was spotty at best as well as there was a fly im my tiny mason glass of water. When I attempted to inform an employee who was an older lady appearing to be coming from the kitchen to the dish sink. She looked right at me as I kindly stated miss there is a fly in my water. She rolled her eyes and went back in the kitchen. I assumed she was getting a supervisor or manager. A gentleman came out looked at me and walked to the register then returned to the kitcgen some time later. My waitress all the while was absent from the room. The next waitresses to walk by I sad miss my water has a fly in it sge said ok let me get another for you. I said thanks. Eventually my waitresses came back within view to bring up or food. I also informed her of the fly in my water. At no point was I approached or asked if there was anything they could do to make it right. Also out front is a large dried white paint spill that was clearly driven thorough repeatedly. If there is someone running this place. I would love to give you a few pointers on training in observance of surroundings, availability to customers for staff, reporting procedures for errors or misteaks. Absolutely Horrible experience. Went into the restaurant to have Dinner. The young hostess seated us and was nice. There was a gentleman setting at the table beside us,looking aggravated. We waited for quit sometime, No one ever came over to greet us or even say hello. The gentleman said he had been there a while with no one even greeting him or saying hello. I went to speak to a manager and the hostess stop me to tell me that the kids that were servers were being moody. Because supposedly they were busy. As we were leaving I told the manager that we never had anyone come over or speak to us. I saw a blonde young girl come out of the kitchen on her cell phone. The male manager acted like he didn't care what I had to say. And didn't seem to care when we left. The other gentleman also got up and left.What a shame that Bob Evans have gone down hill..I don't plan on coming back there. I will say that I have had a good experience during breakfast and lunch. Please look into your management. We ended up going to Perkins. Had a great meal and great and friendly service Also the other gentleman that left also ended up at Perkins. Good Luck with...
