e checked in on Thursday. During the check-in process, I was informed that I needed to pay a $100 deposit. I was not notified of this requirement when registering with Priceline. When we got to our room, it appeared clean and we assumed it would be fine for the weekend. As we settled in we found it did not have all the items noted in the listing. No iron/ironing board, no clock radio, no coffee pot. All these items are listed as amenities. I attempted to use the phone to call the front desk, it rang 3 times then hung up. I attempted the call 4 times with the same result and finally gave up. Later in the evening, I opened the refrigerator to put in some items we purchased. The freezer was so frozen solid, I couldn't adjust the temperature and doubted anything would stay at proper temperature since I couldn't even see the markings on the temperature knob. I opened the microwave to find old food baked on the tray and sides/top, there is no way I was using it. Friday morning, I went to the front desk to the kiosk (because couldn't use the phone and there is no one at the front desk.) A gentleman said he would send someone down, I let him know we were leaving for the day and they could come in and take care of things. We came back to the room in the evening and no one had been there. Went back to the kiosk the next morning, same gentleman was able to reach someone while I waited. He assured me he someone would come to the room. The housekeeper came to the room, unplugged the fridge and said she would clean the microwave when she did the room. When we came back to the room in the evening, the refrig was closed, still unplugged and they had laid towels inside to catch the dripping water from the defrosting freezer. Microwave was wiped down but still not clean enough to use. It was not until Sunday evening that we had a working refrigerator and by that time, we were packing to leave the next morning. After this, I will never stay in another Day's Inn.

ROACHES (photo enclosed), broken curtain (photo), dirty towels (photo) AND a FLOOD IN MY ROOM from non-working Air conditioning unit. To add insult to injury....? NO REFUND AFTER WAITING 21 DAYS! All I'll say is, after the flood and roach, the Manager told me I would get a full refund. I told him I was DESERVING of the refund. Later that morning, I checked out at the KIOSK.... and they provided the bill to me, it was still showing 'payment in full' and charges on my credit card - so I told the Kiosk person in the box, that the manager was giving me a FULL REFUND due to the flood in my room and the Roach. I asked him to take the charges off right away. He told me he couldn't do that, and that I would see the reversed charges in 10-12 days 1) No refund. It's been 21 days. 2)) I called the Days Inn Sarasota today (21ST DAY). The Customer Service Rep answered my call & it was a bad connection with crackling on his headset. I told him he couldn't be heard. He fixed his headset, then said to me "What's your problem?" (Um, excuse me, but, is that how you address a client?) I gave the Customer Service Rep my info (customer ID # etc.), explained I did not get my refund. He told me he had no information on that. I informed him I would post photos & report them & guess what he told me? "GO AHEAD" ....and so…… here we are. I have reptiles and feed them roaches. IMO, this roach was the biggest sucker I've ever seen. Now, onto calling the Department of Health.

Wish I could give no stars. Pics say it all, (zoom in lighting was horrible and they really were worse in real life) that is two different rooms as when I checked into the first I asked to move the second room had two beds just as filthy. I had gotten in late, I am a travel nurse and had worked 14 hours drove four after that to check in to this and have to be awake again at 4am. I had no choice but to stay. When I get out, I talk with Expedia and then the kiosk man. And their solution was to talk to a manager to move me to yet another room and I could go inspect it first. Then when he returns the solution is they will send house keeping to change my bedding. I wanted my money back but of course they couldn't do that. And if they did it would take 5-7 business days for my money to post back. So now the housekeeping that was OK to say the two rooms I had checked into already were clean I am supposed to trust are bringing clean bedding for me now. As they were both down by the kiosk hearing my entire anger of disgust over the cleanliness of my room.

This has to be one of the worst rooms I've stayed in. Not trying to be disrespectful but let’s just say I did not sleep at all.

We reserved a king room with a jacuzzi for my husband and myself, couldn’t even use the jacuzzi because it was so hot that it would have just made us even more uncomfortable. When we entered our room the ac wasn’t even on…in Florida when it was in the 90s that day. Both on 60 (because it wouldn’t go any lower) on high fan and never was cool enough so we could sleep without sweating.

The blackout curtains may have been sheers because they may cover the window but are so far from the wall that sunlight shines in from under both curtains.

We reserved at this hotel because it was more expensive thinking we would have a nice stay but now I wish we would have driven straight home. We live in north Florida but we thought we would have a nice night without any interruptions.

In addition, when we checked in there was a man sleeping out on a couch in the lobby sitting area. Around 7-8 People hanging around outside the front lobby being very loud. Weird why you’re at a hotel hanging around in front and in the lobby. Why not go to the room you have. And no they weren't smoking cigarettes.

Checking out we asked if they could credit us the jacuzzi since we didn’t use and the person at the front said that we should have called front desk and they would have had a repairman come to our room, at 11:30pm to fix it or move us to a new room…at 11:30pm. Why didn’t it just operate the way it should have?

All around just a horrible experience and don’t recommend this...

We got at the motel at 1:00 a.m. on Thursday morning. $67 a night. FOR Thurs. Fri. And Sat. We paid $264.00 i believe. The internet says "dog friendly" but when i called the girl said "no dogs allowed per owner policy". I told her it was a service dog with licence from florida and she said "let me text him". A few moments later she got back on phone and said that the owner said it was okay i could bring my dog. Come Saturday afternoon we came back to motel from shopping and the door would not open. I went to front desk and told the lady. She said "of course. You were suppose to check out by 11:00 am. I said "no we paid for three nights, thurs, friday, and saturday". She then said "no according to company policy when you come in late like that, you have to pay for Wednesday". I then getting a little aggravating said" that's crazy, we got here on thursday morning", she then interrupted me and rudly said "how many dogs do you have in the room?" And i said to her "one and she is a service dog", and again rudly interrupting me sjhe said "your not allowed to have dogs in the room". I told we had permission from the owner that the virl that checked us in texted him and got permission. Then she started making a big deal abt it so i just said "forget it we will leave, unlock the door so we can get our things" and walked away. The girl unlocked the room and we got our stuff. The girl followed us all the way outside around the whole building to make sure we ledt the premises. The hallways were very hot and smelt like must and smoke, very rude older lady at front desk. Very...
