Honestly staying here was a pretty mixed bag. The location is great, the place is adorable, and overall we loved the concept of an art/community focused hotel with themed rooms. We wanted to love the place, but a series of small issues kind of tainted it.

Our first night we stayed in the Sacred Tower room which was solid. The black lights in the room didn’t work but tbh that’s no biggie. However for our second two nights we stayed in the Love Shack, which was really underwhelming. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned at all (see photos) and there was still tons of dirt and dust all over the floor throughout the room. It seemed like the sheets had been changed and trash taken out, but other than that nothing had been done. The shower was also directly in the bedroom (not shown online) which doesn’t have an exhaust fan, so the whole room gets very humid. Both the Sacred Tower and Love Shack rooms have hanging beds, but the short length of the love shack bed ropes makes the bed swing around much more often due to amplifying every little movement. Each morning after sleeping in there, I felt like I had just stepped off a boat for about 30 minutes. Additionally the ropes in the room are all fraying, so we were pretty nervous sleeping on the bed.

Another minor annoyance, all of the snacks and drinks we saw which were available for purchase downstairs were at least a month or so out of date. Of course we didn’t think to check this before buying and opening them, so we were unpleasantly surprised by completely stale chips and some sour smelling milk.

Idk, this place has so many things going for it, but all of the small things really start to add up. If it was for the price of a regular hostel we would have been good with everything, but at normal hotel prices you definitely expect a little something more. If we decide to stay here again, it definitely won’t be in...

I love old homes - my personal home in Atlanta was built in the 1800's; so I want to be clear this review is not about an old house. This review is about an uncared for inn/hostel. We arrived using the youtube directions we were sent; but the directions were incorrect. We couldn't find our room and when I called, was told I was at the wrong house; but how is that possible when I followed the direction you sent me? You enter via the kitchen - the coffee maker is an inexpensive walmart $20 machine. I opened the lid thinking I would make coffee in the morning, only to find old grounds in the basket there so long they had started to mold. Upstairs in the shared bathroom the trash can was near overflow with who knows what from the other patrons. The water does not flow out of the sink drain, slow clog. The shower head was so covered with scale the water does not come out in a straight stream. There was so much hair coming out of the shower drain. This was not from one shower but rather several weeks, if not more of hair in the drain. It was visible to see. How did the manager/cleaning person not see. My husband dropped his towel on the floor when getting out and his towel went under the shower door. When picking up the towel it rubbed under the door and the mold from under the door streaked across the towel. How do you care so little for your own business? I don't need breakfast or someone to greet me upon arrival; but there should be someone stopping in at least two-three times per day when there are guests to dump trash, wipe down the shower and dump that coffee filter. It was obvious it had not been done in some time for it to be in the condition it was. This was not just one day of no attention - it was nasty.|The owner does own several different homes in the area for rent. Possibly I just stayed at the...

READ BEFORE BOOKING*Press skip on this “inn”. This place is a scam and the owner also knows it. From reading previous reviews, i’ve come to the conclusion that most have the same story. You search for a place to stay in charming Savannah and you stumble upon and affordable place to stay. You book and arrive at the place and if you’re lucky enough, find the owner there, who’s very friendly. Then, the issues start, when you question any detail of your stay. We found a bug on our mediocre bedding that also smelled stale. We killed the bug with a paper towel and decided to inform the owner. He came up and tried to gaslight us into saying “this is georgia, you’re from florida, we have bugs” This is not an appropriate response when a guest tells you they are uncomfortable. Asking for a refund, we were told no because his policy is 100% 2 weeks out, 50% 1 week out, no refund day of. as if we knew a bug would be on our bed two weeks ago? After offering us a new room, we still felt we wanted to stay somewhere else. We told him we would discuss and inform him of our decision back in the office. When we went back and waited for 20 minutes and calling for them, they were no where to be found. We email them about our experience and received an email back with more gaslighting claiming he wasn’t sure if we “placed the bug there promptly on the bed” *see video below* once again, not an appropriate response for any business owner to question the guests concern who has proof. This is not surprising in the slightest since in the beginning of meeting him he mentioned he “didn’t like boomers” “Millennials are easier to satisfy with issues” and he doesn’t like the concept of “the customer’s always right”

I have never had interactions like the before from an inn owner! I texted him pictures of the poor quality and out of place unusual things in the inn including broken chairs, billboards for robot butlers in the parlor etc. His response was "I'm not surprised based upon your area code!" When I asked for further explanation he told me that in certain areas it's impossible to please people and he thought that the 904 area code was central Tampa, which he proceeded to bash everyone from that area in a text message. How rude and unprofessional and I'm not even from there lol. He then further sent me four text messages complaining about how difficult the business is and his own frustrations and that he was not going to give me my money back. All I did was tell him that he might wanna think about redecorating and getting rid of things that are broken or things that are completely out of place for a Victorian Inn. His rudeness and lack of empathy for someone just trying to help was just over the top. I hate when people lump groups of people together, especially in this day and age and he basically has no regard for anybody from Florida. I would definitely stay away. Besides that the mattress was lumpy and old, the headboard was not attached to the bed, the decorations look like they were thrown together from a garage sale, and the house we were supposed to stay in, did not have our room so we had to stay in the house behind it, which we were not informed of. The pictures are not reflective of the inn.
