Sheldon Motel — Hotel in Sheldon

Super dump, no housekeeping, rude manager who gives guests a bedtime/lights out. Most disgusting place I've stayed and I've been in some dumps. I have seen only one worse. It was technically a hotel but only child molesters stayed there. I needed a room to get by for 3 days till I was paid. Luckily no vacancies. The Sheldon was still worse because of the rude family who runs it. My crew literally rented every room except 2 that he wouldn't rent out. We paid his rate every week for about 6 weeks. So $120 per week from 17 rooms for 6 weeks. He received over $20,000 in cash, that he probably won't claim to the IRS and the guy talks trash to us, shows zero respect, him and his wife would go into our rooms and look through our belongings while we were at work and even take small petty items like dish soap shampoo etc.... I know because I caught him once getting off work early for being sick. And sadly enough this place is the best option in town. Sheldon iowa is a dump in general along with 90% of the rest of the worthless flat...

This review is actually for my husband who was on business. He sent me a video of the room and I told him to get out of there and if he had to, sleep in his car. First of all, the door to the room did not lock. He pushed it open without having to turn the knob. Second, there was no chair to put up against the door to keep someone from coming in. The bathroom had to be the worst of all. There was a trash can under the sink to catch the water leaking from the pipe and the shower wsa absolutely filthy (black)!! I don't know how they can legally keep this place open. The health department has obviously never been to check this place out. He ended up...

Place has mold in bathrooms asked what to do about it and they said they can't afford to fix it. Don't give u clean towels they have stains on them pillows have stains take pillow cover off and you will see. Don't vacuum floor seems they just lazy there.if u gonna run a motel business in America do the American thing and work a little like take care of your place and not just come here and take advantage of our government system have us pay for u here for 7 years tax free then go back to your country. If you gonna have a place like that stay in your own country let a real american clean it up and run it like it...
