Update January 17, 2024. I booked at the wrong hotel the same day so it wasn’t easy for me to cancel so I figured I would stay here again since I made the mistake and maybe I was harsh the first time with my review. Unfortunately it’s everything. I remember it there a couple good staff members, but besides that the carpet is dingy but my big problem that’s setting me off the right the review was that the tub was not only dirty didn’t drain well has black something around the edges. Please see the picture for details and on top of it when I called and asked for Drano or somebody to come check it out. They told me they’d come by in the morning at 9 AM. I have work in the morning and I’ll be gone before that. And the woman answered the phone was very unpleasant. It’s a shame, but I’ll drive further to my destination next time I’m in the area and take my time to not book here. Anybody that’s given this place a good review has lower standards than average. or have friends here that want to bump up the review because there’s no way this place deserves anything above three stars at best. Unfortunately I will not be leaving that rating.
I have recently been traveling extensively for work purposes, prompting my choice of the Hilton brand for accommodation. One of the key factors influencing my decision was the expectation of consistently high standards upheld by Hilton establishments. However, following my stay last night, I must express my disappointment in discovering that this was not the case. The visual representation of the hotel, as conveyed through photographs, proved to be misleading, as I observed a notable need for thorough vacuuming throughout the premises. Furthermore, I encountered some cleanliness issues, such as finding hair in my bathroom and noticing what appeared to be an insect inside a picture frame. Additionally, it was evident that the glass surfaces had not been adequately cleaned after previous use. Regrettably, having already completed the check-in process, I opted not to relocate or engage in the process of requesting a room change. This experience marks the first instance in a considerable span of time where I have encountered such disappointment with a Hilton establishment. Consequently, I must convey my intention to seek accommodation elsewhere...
Read moreI am rating this hotel a 2 because of a horrible checkin experience (and more). This is the note I sent to the manager:||“My husband and I arrived at your hotel to check in around 5:45 PM. There was no one at the desk, but there was a sign that said they were helping another guest and would be back momentarily. We waited for 5 minutes, 10 minutes…by this time there were three people waiting to check in. The sign had a suggestion to call 0 from the phone by the elevator for assistance. We tried…the phone rang at the desk and no one came to answer. I tried calling the number on your card. The phone rang at the desk…no one answered.||By this time 15-20 minutes had passed. Finally the staff setting up for the evening reception went to try to find the reception clerk (I believe his name was Scott). She finally said she had located him and he would be coming. It was at least another 5 minutes before he showed up.||There was no apology (that would have gone a long way). The explanation was he was in the restroom. Hmmm. Five minutes, maybe ten I could understand. This was closer to a half hour.||We appreciate the evening reception person very much. We were very unhappy with the check in, no real explanation, absolutely no apology from Scott (?).”||We did receive a reply back from Jennifer, the manager, with a sincere apology and a promise of extra points which we appreciate.||Besides that experience, the furniture in the room is extremely worn, there was a rusted bar in the bathroom where towels hang, the shower was okay, the bed was comfortable.||Two other coffee experiences (we love our coffee!), only one regular coffee in the room (4 decafs), at breakfast the regular coffee ran out (no big deal usually), but we checked for kitchen staff and couldn’t find anyone. Went to the front desk (they said they would check), went back to wait, a couple minutes later someone we didn’t realize was staff, and was chatting with guests, said “oh, do you need something?” and got the fresh pot. If we hadn’t had the other experience, no big deal, but we had kind of lost...
Read moreI was in the Sharon PA area last year for a committee meeting at the nearby NLMK. Many of us who are with the AIST Cold Rolling Committee were staying at this hotel. Before my arrival, I got a phone call from Hampton telling me that the room I had booked would not be ready due to an issue with the room. They told me they would give me the best room possible and top up my Hilton Rewards Points.
Please note that this hotel may be a little tricky to find when you come off the highway. Some GPS's may take you to another address. The hotel is way in the back near another hotel. Watch out for the big Pothole, if it hasn't been fixed yet. The hotel is right down the road from other hotels, restaurants, gas stations, and there is a Dunkin' Donuts about 3 minutes away.
The hotel is a great property with a large meeting area near check-in. The staff were great upon my arrival and gave me a very good room. The room itself was very big and had a divider in the middle which also acts as a work area. My room very spacious, clean and new looking sink and bathroom area. When I walked into my room it had a small area with a fridge and microwave right where the door is. My room had a couch and coffee table on one side and a bed was on the other side of the room.
This hotel is clean, a little dated, the gym is above average with free weights, cardio machines, a water cooler, and lots of towels.
Overall another great stay at another...
