Mediocre at best and terrible "included breakfast" fit for a dog!
Liked · Tired and dated room. Peeling paint, holes in the carpet but at least the sheets were clean and there was hot water for a shower. VERY hard bed which meant for a lot of toss & turning but extra firm is what some people like so that's just luck of the draw. This property could really use a refresh and update.
Disliked · Breakfast Included!!!! What a JOKE!!!! I've stayed at many hotels with breakfast included, which is generally a lobby waffle stations, toast, muffins, cereals, FRESH fruits, juice and coffee etc. I look for this on Booking.com because it makes for a reasonable and quick start to our day. But this no-Quality Inn was very poor and deceptive. As usual, we pack the car and stop at the lobby to check-out and have a quick breakfast. Well at this no-Quality Inn you're pointed to a lobby bar fridge with little tiny lunch bags with your breakfast inside. One pre-packaged "breakfast sandwich" of a sausage "meat?" patty, processed "egg?" patty, and cheese slice that you're supposed to microwave to eat. So what now... go back and check-in again so we could microwave this in our room? But there's no plates, utensils, etc, so we'd have had to nuke this on a paper napkin. Oh, and let's not forget the commercial granola bar also included. Completely inedible!!!! They did have a juice machine and coffee which would have meant taking out little baggie, a cup of juice and a cup of coffee and carrying this all thru the hotel to get back to our room. Really??? So we threw the little bags in our cooler and proceeded to drive less than a kilometer down the road to a nearby diner (Middlesex Diner) for a proper breakfast. The photos accompanying this review were taken next day at home. The sandwich was nuked for only 60 seconds and became...
Read moreWe were just looking for a clean, comfortable room for the night, and were not disappointed.
I was checked in by a very friendly night manager who quickly found me an affordable room for wife, daughter snd me, reminded me of the hotel's no smoking policy and also provided the wi-fi password on the cardboard sheath for our room's card key. The room was close by (the hotel isn't all that big), we needed to use our card key to open the outer door (extra points for security!), and in short order, we were in our room, which was clean and neatly laid out with no obvious disrepair.
There were plenty of bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. The room had a mini fridge, which is a welcome amenity for us as we travel with perishables. The shower worked well, the beds were very comfortable and 4 pillows were provided on each bed. The combo heater & air conditioner was fast, effective and not noisy. I point all this out because when you stay in budget hotels, you can't take any of it for granted.
Complimentary breakfast, featuring cold and hot cereals, make-your-own waffles, pastries, breakfast sandwiches, juices (orange and apple), coffee and tea was served from 6am to 9am and was refreshing and tasty.
I found only two minor repair issues. If the bathroom had a fan, it didn't work, but it's possible that the grille I saw in the ceiling was just a vent. There was also a bit of corrosion on the shower soap holder. Most people would never notice these things unless they went out of their way to look.
All in all, it was a very pleasant stay. It wasn't the Ritz-Carlton, but rooms in that glorious hotel start at 10 times what we paid per night. This Quality Inn rented us a clean, comfortable room that was well-appointed for the price range, and that is a...
Read moreMy husband & I stayed here because we had a wedding to attend nearby. This property lacks a lot. The positive..the room was a decent size. There was a microwave & refrigerator. And the breakfast in the morning was decent,,the waffles were good. And it was close to many restaurants & shopping on the Main Street. The negative..there was a smell to the hotel a mix between cigarette smoke & stale dirty air The laundry room was next to us. And I could smell the dirtiness/moldy smell of the washer just walking by. The bedding had burn holes. The pillows were literally the size of small throw pillows you’d put on your couch. Also there was not enough towels. My husband & I had to share the 1 bath towel. Yes we asked for more towels but the request was ignored. The mirror in the bedroom had spray marks all over it, from what I don’t know. The mattress was so old to the point you could feel indentations & lumps. Windows were filthy. The walls are thin as paper. We could hear the people next door to us, where we could actually make out the conversation word for word & this went on until at least 1am. Wallpaper was peeling in many places. Glad I brought Lysol wipes, extra blankets, pillows & had my fan to drown out the neighbors noise. I don’t need a 5 star hotel. But I definitely do need some basics meet. If I had to stay here more then 1 night I would of packed up & gone elsewhere. This property is run down once you get past the front desk. We definitely will not be staying here again. Look elsewhere if you’re thinking of...
