Hello, as we prepare to checkout today, August 5th, I wanted to make my response to you regarding your question of whether there was anything that could be done to make or have made our stay better, and my response is this; for what was and is wrong with the room, there's really nothing that can be, or could've been done to improve our stay!; and altho I had/have no adverse comment or complaint regarding the front desk staff, since they were probably the best part of our stay, I unfortunately can't say that about everything else.

First off, just the outside appearance riding around to our side of the building to get to our room was a deterrent and an eye sore with the windows being and looking filthy dirty, then the outside entry way door to enter the floor where our room was located was not securely locked when we arrived, and remained that way the entire time we were there, so we never needed to use our keycard to enter at Any time if the day or night, making it an open invitation for Anyone, especially an intruder to come in!; But it's what we encountered upon entering the hallway with a smell of uncleanliness (altho the pool area was right outside our door and helped because of the smell of the chlorine), our room was a different story, and is what sparked the majority of our complaints, ranging from housekeeping/ sanitation and cleanliness, to maintenance issues, with housekeeping being of primary concern, and it was rather unfortunate in knowing from the initial text sent to welcome us, that housekeeping is only done every three days, but of course we were checking out by then; so with the issues we were faced with upon our arrival, we had to go purchase substantial items to bring the room up to satisfactory standing sanitarily like rug deodorizer, air sanitizing etc, as well as provisionally the 1st day we arrived like pillows because for a King bed there was only 3 pillows and one of them was smaller than the others and looked deformed from the dryer they said, so don’t use it, throw it away!!; then the air quality in the room was stifling, stuffy, and musty smelling, with the rugs smelling soiled and/or musty, which is bad even for those with no breathing issues, so with me having asthma, that's a breathing ground for issues, which is exactly what happened, and more importantly, my husband is on dialysis, so cleanliness and sanitation is paramount in keeping infection away, and unfortunately, the room just wasn't/isn't clean(ed) properly or thoroughly enough to meet anything near the standards needed nor desired, and after traveling for close to 5hrs to get here with traffic, and having prepaid for the room, and there being no vacancies at any other decent place in the area, there was no place else for us to go, so we had to make the best of our 3 day stay! The only thing that made the stay close to ok was the TV, and the bed was ok, but because of there being dirt/cobb webs around the walls and the picture frames above our heads on the bed, it tarnished the good; then moving on to the bathroom, the door to the bathroom was broken, not to mention the the two towels given were different - one thicker and different than the other, so we bought more towels since we didn’t trust to use what was there, and to add to that, there was hair in the on the bathtub as well as the toilet and the floor, so we brought a tub mat to stand on in the tub, and then there was dirt in the cracks of wall of the bathroom, and the towel racks were loose with the one little rack attached to the wall to hang maybe a wet towel on was hanging and detached from the wall, so nothing could hang on that if wanted to, and again no housekeeping for 3days🤷🏽‍♀️; so if course all of this put a huge damper and cloud in our minds; and In addition to that, my husband noticed the ceiling must've had water damage or something because of big stains, but replacement of the stucco was never done, then there was burning smell from the air, and things left from other guests under the bed, plus there was only 1 night stand, so we had to rig up something on my side just so so I could sit my phone and other things on, along with the lights not being bright at all, except for maybe the bathroom light, so needless to say, it wasn't a stay that will bring us back, and won't refer anyone else to stay either, which is sad since there's really not too many supposedly high end or even decent hotels in the area to pick from, with this one supposedly being pretty high end in appearance and quality at one time. I don't normally want to make outward complaints because I know things happen, unless majorly warranted, and unfortunately, much of this was/is just inexcusable, and with this being my husband's birthday weekend, it was very disappointing!😏, so sadly as you asked if we were asked if there was anything that could be done to make our stay better, answer again is NO, nothing could've/could be done short of a credit or refund to my account...

Location/Scenery: 1/5 The Park Inn by Radisson in Sharon, PA is conveniently located right off of I80/I376. Centrally located near Hermitage, Sharon, New Castle, and Boardman/Youngstown and about 10 minutes from the nearest gas stations and other shopping. The lobby of the hotel is nice looking. This is the end of the positive things I will write about the hotel.

Accommodations: 0/5 This place is straight out of a horror movie. The hallways are dim, dark, and filled with garbage. The entire hotel smells like smoke. There was literally a guy smoking a cigar in the lobby when we arrived. Also, our room was filthy and uncleaned, despite us arriving around 8pm. The room had literal garbage and bugs in it; the beds were unmade and the TV was on at full volume, as if someone was in there 15 minutes before we checked in. It was jarring and I've never seen anything like it in a hotel.

Service & Staff: 0/5 I did not get any names, but the woman at the front desk took roughly 30 minutes to check us in. Hard to tell if it's because she was slow or if their mid-2000s computer systems were slowing the process down, but either way it was very slow going. After we saw that our room was filled with garbage and completely unclean, we went back to the front desk and gave the cards back. We told the woman at the front desk about the condition of the room and she simply said "OK." I also requested a refund on the spot and was declined, as "only my manager can do that, so you have to call between 9am-10am."

I called at 9am this morning and requested a refund and was told that because I booked through Chase Travel, I needed to contact Chase for a refund. Well, I called Chase Travel this evening, who reached out to the property manager, who denied a refund because we "used the room" ... by stepping into it. Either they mean we "used the room" by stepping into it, or the hotel management is not being truthful with Chase travel.

Facilities & Activities: 0/5 I touched on the facilities in the previous portions of my reviews. In general, the hotel is dirty, filled with garbage, and disgusting. The main atrium with the pool and lounge chairs looks cool, but it's sort of unsettling because only half the lights are on at a given time.

Food & Dining Experience: 0/5 Cannot really comment on this because as others have noted on Google reviews, most of the amenities at the hotel are closed. The restaurant is closed "indefinitely," the bar is "open based on booking status," and other amenities such as the hot tub are also "closed indefinitely." For being "under new ownership," they certainly don't care about keeping this place in any kind of working order.

This is a long review, but I wanted to fully lay out the facts for anyone considering booking this place. You have a ton of options nearby. You can use your best judgment to decide whether its worth it to try and stay here, but I personally will never patronize a Radisson property again if this kind of hotel is one they are comfortable attaching...

Not even worth a star ... Roaches 🪳. They spray outside rooms but these roaches are still there ... Our door was broken they never fix it ..our toilet leak wasn't screw on right they never fix it . There no pool.. gym room some machines don't work and some weights missing .. there one washer and one dyer but you have to do a half of a load or it doesn't wash right and it takes triple the time to dry anything these are very old washer and dryer... They have a vending machine but warning we got a candy bar from 2007... They don't have any security really... You don't need a key card to access the hotel anybody can walk in anytime at night. Or during the day.... They don't have maintenance and they do not have any hotel workers that clean the room we stayed for almost 4 weeks and not one hotel worker wanted to clean our room and we requested it more than once... We took out our trash out and we cleaned our room... People usually leave their trash in the hallway and they usually leave their bottles of alcohol in the hallway and they're dirty linen in the hallway...the pool is never going to be open at the hotel ... the elevators are creaking and making weird sounds in a very unsafe structure... They do have an open bar on Friday and Saturdays if the bartender wants to show up and it's only for a few hours and the prices are crazy... They do have a game room but it's all those older games machines and the machine's usually suck out more money than needs to be... They do not have a free breakfast the coffee is either burnt 🔥 or is actually watered down... They keep the creamers next to the cleaning supplies so that makes you feel comfortable... They will usually have fruit out. Rotten apples nothing fresh and sometimes muffins ... There parking lot is icy never shovel unless they have event going on .. we had no choice to stay our car broke down on top of it it was in there the cheapest hotel.. if you don't mind sleeping with the roaches... Knowing anybody can come and go in the hotel... And we paid $2100 for 25 days ... And there's actually people that live there all year round... Please go to a guy who's been there for over a year he said nothing has been gone and done about anything... But it's cheaper for him to stay there because rent is expensive... What is lucky our car got fixed and we can get out of there... We got a room two double beds ..no blanket blanket just two pillows each bed and sheets... Freezing cold hallways and main bathroom smelled like sewage and so dirty... When we check out they said we there been so many complaints but never said when and whom because the longest time it was just us on that floor... They said there a pee smell from our room yet no one not even maid came by and they only mention this issues when we requested our money back which they took $300. Because of the smell and complains... Excuse me ... I am fighting them..because there was no smell .. and no complaints ... They just run down hotel trying take more money then...

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and two children, and it was by far one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the environment was not family-friendly or professionally managed. The lobby was blasting loud rap music filled with profanity, which was not appropriate for children and set the tone for the rest of the stay. When we got up to our room, the hallways reeked of marijuana, and the entire building felt dim, dirty, and neglected. Inside our room, the problems continued: the faucet was leaking, there was visible black mold, and stink bugs were crawling out of the AC vent in large numbers. We didn’t even have a TV remote, and when we asked about it, staff claimed it was because they were “remodeling.” That same excuse was used for why the phones were disconnected, which left us without any reliable way to reach the front desk. The next morning, we were woken up by people doing donuts in the parking lot in both a black Dodge and a white Dodge. This wasn’t just a one-time incident — it went on throughout the day, and hotel staff did absolutely nothing to stop it. The drivers hung around in the parking lot afterward as if they were regulars who knew they wouldn’t be kicked out. In the back of the property near Section E, things were even worse. People were openly selling drugs, blasting music, and doing more burnouts and donuts while trash collected everywhere. It felt completely unsafe for families. Inside the building, people were running up and down the halls late at night, making it impossible to rest. Combined with the black mold, stink bug infestation, noise, and the dangerous activity happening outside, the hotel was completely unlivable. My family and I ended up leaving early and checking into a better hotel because we simply couldn’t stay another night. After leaving, I started looking into reviews from other guests and, unfortunately, found that our experience wasn’t unique. Many others reported the same issues with cleanliness, unsafe activity, and lack of staff intervention. This hotel is in desperate need of new management, maintenance, and proper security. Right now, it is unsafe, unsanitary, and not suitable for anyone — especially families. I would strongly recommend avoiding this property.

So incredibly upset over our very short visit. We checked in a 5pm, the person who checked us in was very kind & even gave us a nicer room. However after that, everything was awful. The room was dirty, (pictured) the bathroom light didn’t work, it hadn’t been vacuumed or wiped down. (Pictured) There is shit everywhere, tables, tools, etc. There was a massive blood stain outside one of the elevators (pictured) the beds are tiny & the blankets they had were paper thin. I went down to the office around 9:30 to ask for 2 extra blankets. She asked for my rooms number & said they would be brought up. An hour went by, we were beyond ready to go to bed, so I went back to check. There were 4 people at the front desk waiting to be helped for over 20 mins. I went to the bar 3 times to ask for someone to come & the lady (claims her name was Stacy) get progressively more upset with me. Then a man came, I told him & he said someone was coming. Finally after a total of 30 mins a women came. She was immediately annoyed & rude. I asked for a blanket she asked for my room number, I asked if I could just wait here, she said no. I asked how long it would be & she just aggressively demanded for my room number. I tried to explain I wanted to go to sleep and didn’t want to wait so if the wait would be long I would just pass. She demanded the number, when I finally gave it she laughed. I asked how long, she said she didn’t know. I asked for a manger, she said there as none. I asked for their names, she refused until my 6’5 husband asked. They had no last initial they could give. At this point I asked to check out and be given a refund. I was told no. When I insisted on checking out she claimed she could not check me out. She almost refused to give me a receipt but eventually called someone who told her to. She told that person I was “just arguing” I want a full refund for our 5pm-11pm “stay” I will update when the company has done the right thing & issued me a refund. They should be charging no more than $50 for this gross place.
