One of, no, THE WORST hotel experience I have ever had. 3 rooms were booked with the occupants of the first arriving a few hours before us. We arrived with the kids and checked in, received room cards and headed to the 3rd floor. It was late and everyone was ready to go to bed. Opening the first room we see an issue. They assigned us a room that was used for storage, mattresses and furniture stacked from wall to wall, floor to ceiling. Not sure how they missed that. After waiting for about 10 minutes we were assigned another room. The next issue was that the room they gave us smelled like someone had just smoked an entire pack of cigarettes in it just moments before. This, after requesting non smoking rooms. Are there really still smoking rooms in hotels? This was the double room for the kids. We were told it was the only room available, yet, besides the vehicles of out travel companions, there were only 2 other cars in the entire parking lot.
My wife and I finally were able to get in our room, first, the comforter had obvious burn holes in it. They brought up a new comforter. After pulling off the pillows and pulling back the sheets we noticed a LARGE cigarette burn hole in the blanket and also long black hairs on the fitted sheet. Neither my wife or I have long black hair. At this point we were disgusted, we called the front desk again and they gave us another room. Once again, we saw multiple burn holes on the comforter and blankets, by this time we were over it, exhausted and just wanted to sleep.
The next morning we left and went for a day of kayaking. We returned and one of our travel companions found that someone had been in their room and used some of her cosmetics. Not going into what or how she knew, but it was obvious that her items had been messed with. Once again, front desk was notified but denied that anything like that taken place.
One good thing about this hotel? The air conditioning was cold. That's it....
Read moreMy husband and I stayed in the Non Smoking King Bed Hot Tub Suite. The room was very nice. It was huge with so much space. The Hot Tub was big enough for two. I was so amazed at the space the room had. Everything was also VERY clean. I'm very picky and like to feel at home when I'm away. So I was pleasantly surprised when I took my Clorox wipes to everything and it was very clean. I was happy about that. The room had everything you need. Blow dryer, Microwave, small fridge, living room area with sofa chair and coffee table, coffee pot, table and chairs, alarm clock, plenty of hangers, lots of lights, lots of plugs, two sinks--making it easy to get ready while someone is in the shower, plenty of towels, make-up remover wipes were a great touch that I enjoyed, vending machine just down the hall, and 2 giant windows. The Shower was also a nice size with a great shower head with different settings. Water pressure was not an issue either. The hotel was nice and quiet as well. There was also breakfast for free, with the usual continental breakfast items. So if you need the extra space and don't want to be squished in a tiny room this suite is perfect. We were very happy with our stay. Staff we saw was very nice also. Check in and check out were smooth, easy and fast too! My only complaint would be we left our cell phone charger and I called to see if it could be shipped to me, and It was not tuned in. So sadly, someone is enjoying an iPhone charger that doesn't...
Read moreWe stayed here 2 nights this past weekend. Room was really clean, the housekeepers do a great job and the man at the front desk was nice. We had 3 pillows per bed, all 3 were as thin as a pancake and when put on top each other still did not equal one pillow. The mattress was lumpy to say the least. Breakfast was cereal or a waffle and coffee. The worst thing about this hotel is the noise. The first night it kept me awake all night from the noise coming from upstairs. There was banging and slamming and what sounded like furniture being moved on a non carpeted floor. You could hear thumping from the footsteps. The second night, about 3:30am, I called the front desk and asked if they were doing remodeling in the middle of the night up above our room. We were told no. He asked if I wanted him to go to the room and ask them to be quiet? After about a half hour, the noise stopped. At about 5 am, it started again. I don't know what the room was over our head, but if was a regular hotel room, the floor/ceiling was very thin. The hotel parking lot was not full, so I am assuming they were not fully booked. I should have asked for a new room after the first night but was hoping that person only stayed one night, but I was wrong! Ask for a room on the second floor if you want a good...
