Overall this is a good value and pleasant motel. The front desk are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are set up to be comfortable. The two queen room has a microwave, fridge, desk area, and dining table. The bathroom is equipped with hair dryer, towels, and basic toiletries. They have the wall dispensers. I appreciate the green less waste touch. There is good attention to details and thoughtful touches. There was slight mildew at top of shower, but minimal and did not bother my asthmatic family member. Beds are comfortable. We travel with 2 dogs. They have 25$ dog free. Very reasonable. They have a grass area with stocked dog bag kiosk. Genuinely dog friendly. The location is nice on our adventure up the mountians. There was a Walmart, safeway, pet store an exit away which was helpful for provisioning. We did not use the pool or hot tub but it looked clean. There is a continental breakfast and coffee. Nextdoor is a breakfast/lunch place. Overall, a friendly safe clean motel.

So we are using this hotel as home base during our trip to Yosemite which is why I knocked it a bit on location. Its FAR from Yosemite...1 hour 15 min from Big Oak Flats gate and an additional hour in to Yosemite Village. Plus you have a5 mile pass over the steepest, windiest road I think I have ever been on. After a long day of hiking and driving an extensively soread out park...its alot. Doable...but not easy. If you are staying in Sonira for business and not on Yosemite track...it would be a 5. As for the accomodations...clean, comfortable stay. Room was spacious. Has a nice fridge and microwave. Outdoor pool and hot tub which stay open until 10p. Decent breakfast. A window washing station...brilliant! Also coin laundry if you need it. So plenty of services. Staff is lovely. Room did not get serviced and we were thin on towels.

The goods: The reception staff is courteous, the room was quite big. The bads: The non-smoking room felt like somebody was actually smoking there non stop. I immediately asked for another room but was told that they are sold out so they can't do anything. There was an old weed flower on the floor. The toilet was extremely dirty with brown marks all over under the seat. Long dark hair was everywhere - in the bathroom, on the bed sheets. Everything in the room just felt disgusting and extremely uncomfortable. The walls are very thin, so you'll hear everything that happens next door. I've read they had a great breakfast in the cafeteria nearby... Well, not anymore. Now it's just a regular oat/ fruit/muffin/coffee thing in the lobby.

Do not stay here! If I could give ZERO stars I would!!! I am surprised it’s even open to the public. Save yourself a headache, anger and time. My experience in a gist… Schitts Creek Motel vibe but worse!!! Upon arriving to the location after a 10 hour long drive the front desk receptionist (Trystin) was discourteous she only asked for the reservation name & didn’t even greet me or give details about the location of my room, I had to figure it out on my own. I drive to my location & in the parking space there’s glass on the floor as if a car had been broken into (first of one of many red flags). I try to open my room but the room key doesn’t work. I go back to the front desk and the receptionist seems annoyed. I go to the room & the room stinks like a public restroom or porta potty. I look around the room & there’s a blind that is broken where outsiders could peek through. I try to brush it off & go to use the restroom & there’s a thin layer of toilet paper left on the roll. That’s not all folks, I check the bed & I see random hair on top of the bed…I pull the covers to see what’s inside but find more hair but from down there!!! It’s ridiculous!! I immediately request to have my money reimbursed…I was willing to stay in my car than to stay in that place, but luckily I was able to find another location that was 100 times better (I paid more but it was worth it). I spoke to the supposed manager & was told I wouldn’t be charged due to the fact they didn’t have the room up to par. I get my credit card bill & of course I see that they had charged it & I had to deal with getting that money reimbursed!! Worst experience ever to say the least! If I could report it to BBB, Yelp or anywhere I will!! That place needs to be under investigation. I get it that it’s a small town away from it all, but still, no place should be offered to the public in that condition. I wasn’t expecting 5 star treatment but just a basic clean & safe place to sleep after a long drive. I sure hope someone reads this and gains some insight & steers clear unless it’s to investigate it!!!!! See the images they speak...

Stacy was great! Swimming pool and hot tub experience was amazing! However, we stayed there about a week to make sure our house is ready. We rented two rooms because we had eight people. They only Allow 4 people to a room. They messed up on our stay. They told us at first that we were paid up until we were gonna leave and then they said we owed $200 and then $100. And then nothing. It was really hard to keep up with. I went in the office to let them know that we were paid up until Friday and our electricity went out and were told we would get reimbursed for that day. When I went in to confirm that not to mention two other transactions on my debit card, that were not authorized someone said that was not true. Right in front of several other people that were staying there. I was embarrassed and went outside. When I told them I was paid up and that I gave every penny to them and our new landlord they told me to go to the Welfare department To get A voucher. Again, right in front of Several guests. I called my husband at work since he made all the preparations there. They thought they hung up the phone when they did not. They called me, my husband and my children unmentionable names. Like I said, Stacy is amazing and a couple of the Women that are housekeepers. The one with strawberry blonde hair at the front desk and the one with a very long straight black hair was not worth remembering their names. We gave them almost $2000 for a week and they treated Like garbage...
