Great Wall Restaurant — Restaurant in California

If you like poor customer service, this is the place for you!! It’s a shame I will never be going back there again. Not because of the food cause it is good. The waitress is rude. When she gave us our plates my daughter looked at hers and it had dry stuck on food on it. Not clean at all!! We tried to spit clean it first but it didn’t work. My daughter politely asked for another plate and explained that the plate was dirty. The lady took it back. She proceeded to bring another plate to my daughter which had wet soggy stuck on noodles on the plate. My daughter got the waitresses attention and showed her the plate. The waitress told my daughter, “Get up and pick out a plate you think is clean enough then.”. My Daughter got up and walked to the stack, and managed to pick up her ORIGINAL PLATE from the stack. She was almost crying. When she swapped plates with her little sister because her sister was eating soup, the server asked, “Is that one not clean enough for you?” Maybe the department of public health should do a check on this place.

Words of advice to this restaurant 1)If a customer asks for a clean plate. Be kinder about it. 2) Don’t put the plate that has already touched my table and others hands back in with the clean dishes. That is a major violation of the health code. 3) Don't ever ask a customer to get up and go get their own plate. The food was good, but not good enough to be treated like that. What an amazing level of rudeness! I'm from NYC so I can handle a little abrasive behavior. The lady who took our order may as well have told us to leave with how mean she was. The other person taking care of our table was unbelievably rude to my uncle (a soft spoken older gentlemen ) She was refilling my glass of water and asked if anyone else wanted. My uncle requested more water, she told him to pass his cup across the table(round table not a booth) he asked her to come around and she said "No I can't" she left and put the pitcher at another table. Never seen a rude and stubborn waitress like her. The entire meal she would walk back and forth past our table with looks of disgust. The waitress is beyond rude. Twice I went and same lady, my bad for going a second time. The first time, my sweet and sour pork was fried so long it was turned into hardened to rocks,I could not even bite into it. I showed her and she said " he cook it like that!" and would not replace the order. The 2nd visit, I asked for some basil ( which was in large bunches at the table next to us and smelled so good) and she told me no, unless I ordered a different dish. I told her I like basil on the dish I ordered and she just snapped "NO!" And walked off.. There were two of us, so we wanted to split the check down the middle, half on each of our credit cards.
