I found this place by accident over a year ago. I had gone to the Habitat for Humanity and was starving. This place is a little hole-in-the-wall joint right next door. What a find! Sometimes there's a wait for your food. To me, that's a good sign. They're busy. I usually call ahead now and add an extra 5 minutes to the given estimate and even still may have to wait a few minutes. IT IS THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN SONORA...hands down. You get a lot of food. I always have leftovers. The prices are very reasonable considering how popular the place is, how good the food is and how much food you get. Their menu has something for everyone, even the kids. Breakfast is all day. My favorites are #6 Combo, #12 Combo and #6 Special. Oh, but the tortas are incredible to! And the nachos! Ugh... This really is the best place around for Mexican food. A no nonsense taco shop that feels exactly as you want it. From the laminent booths to the hand written specials to the board of items lit up thats a bit too old.
Price was excellent, food was great, the salsa bar was STOCKED.
I had the carne Asada plate and an al pastor taco. The carne Asad plate was large fresh and cheap. The beans and rice were as expected and the Pico de gallo was top notch.
The al pastor left something to be desired. It wasnt bad, but it tasted more like I would expect chorizo to taste. Not bad, just not the best pastor I've encountered.
Even during the lunch rush the staff was friendly and prompt.

The food is great. Never displeased with the food. Everytime I call to place and order they pick up and immediately hang up. Happened 3 times in a row. So I figured they are busy. I come in the to place order and the young lady who took my order was just rude. Rolled her eyes while i was ordering. And when i went to sign the receipt she thru the receipt and just walked away. No pen, no acknowledgment. Then when my food was ready she dropped it in my hands and turned around and said nothing. She was a delight with all the other customers though. Now I understand this job can be non stop and we are all human but, I felt like a inconvenience. I'll see what...
