Camp Richardson is our go to place. It has always been the first stop whenever we visit Lake Tahoe. We absolutely love the view here. One can just relax on the beach and look at the stunning view endlessly. It offers a panoramic view of the Sierra mountains and the lake.
We also stayed at the cabin here and it was such a great experience. Waking up in the middle of the woods and just walking a few steps to get to the beach! The cabin we rented was perfect for 2 people. We stayed at the cabin for 2 nights. It has a room, kitchen and a bathroom. Also a BBQ grill outside the cabin. The staff at the check-in counter were very helpful.
During summer this place is ideal for water activities. We once brought our own inflatable kayak and launched from this beach. The place also has a boat rental store. We have rented paddle boats and kayaks from here and the staff is very friendly. However it was closed in fall as well as winter. The restaurant also was closed in Winter.
