OH MY… HAS THIS PLACE GONE DOWN HILL IN THE LAST 5 to 10 years. I used to look at Worldmark south shore as the premium of all timeshares and enjoyable everytime we go there, however post covid this place has gone down hill! We had an awful experience and all to blame is the facilities and management department! We check in and we’re given a 1 bedroom ground unit. Not a problem and actually didn’t mind the ground floor. After you are given the key cards they try to direct you to the welcome center ha but we weren’t first time dummies. We knew that if we walked over there we would be harassed to attend their scam PowerPoint presentation on how to waste more money on a timeshare that we would never consider purchasing. So we avoided that whole part despite the lady trying to call us over and talking over me when I refused to go to her. We walked out of the office and proceeded to our room. It was fairly close to the office which was nice and walked into the room. Talk about a disappointing entrance.. We were greeted by a filthy condo. Crums all over the floor, counters that looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in weeks, and a bathtub that had grime all on the walls and in the cracks. I’ve never been more disgusted in my life. I have been coming to Worldmarks for over 20 years and have never seen it this bad. My wife and I looked at eachother and just sighed at what we walked into and paid for. We spent at least 30-40 minutes just cleaning it up ourselves rather than hearing an excuse from the front desk “oh sorry cleaning crew is finished for the day they can clean tomorrow” and we didn’t want to face loudmouth presentation lady either. After we finished we settled in and thought the worst was behind us… until we took the first shower…. Complete cold water… yes… in 2024 at what people call a 4-5 star resort, cold water. I tried everything in my power to get the water warm and all I got was just a cold ish warm swimming pool temp. It was miserable!! So uncomfortable!!! My wife and I went to the front desk and complained about this issue. All we were told is that the water heaters “are 20 years old, and have to work very hard to cool down incoming 28 degree water…”. Yes that is hysterically the answer we got. We demanded that someone come and look at it. The poor customer service rep also wanted to note that “in the winter the water will usually stay hot for 4-5 min and then will need to be shut off and take 45+min to get warm hot again (if it works properly). They maintenance dude came and tried to play around with it but didn’t have much luck. The water got hot for a minute or two and then cold again. We gave up and just took all the pots out of the kitchen and just heat up water on the stove and then just showered with a cup. Yup so for the 3 nights we’re were there that’s what we had to deal with! It’s absurd that in the greatest country in the world in 2024 at a so called 4-5 star place they don’t provide basic necessities such as hot running water! We ended up checking out a day early and just were dying to go back home. Nobody from Worldmark followed up during our stay to see how we were doing or after our stay. Worldmark shame on you. You completely ruined our entire trip and after this experience we will just take our money elsewhere.. air BNB is hands down the best way to go. Do better for your owners! The management at Worldmark south shore should take full accountability and if not should be replaced! Very disappointed and that will probably be my final time staying there. Will make sure to spread this message to family and friends along with my large social media following. Pictures have been attached...

My family & I (8 people in total) stayed at Club Wyndham South Shore (previously known as Worldmark South Shore) from July 19 to Jul 26, 2025 for our annual family summer vacation. My parents (who are Club Wyndham Owners) used their points to book us a 3 bedroom unit. The unit we got was in Building 7 on the 3rd floor (right next to the elevator).||The 3-bedroom unit was certainly very spacious for our entire family. My sister's young kids (Aged 5 & 3) loved being to run around and play within the unit. My other sister enjoyed spending mornings on the balcony sipping on coffee before the start of our day around Lake Tahoe.||One of the pros for this resort was that it's quite close to Nevada Beach. It's only a 10 minute walk to the beach and it most of the walk is along a walking/biking trail that leads directly to the beach.||The main con we had was the fact that our family was assigned to an ADA room, so the shared bathroom had an accessible-type shower instead of a standard tub. Due to this shower design, anyone using the shower would splash water out very easily and would cause considerable amount of water to flow out of the shower area an into the main bathroom area around the toilet. After a couple of us took showers, there was so much water that leaked that it caused a stream of water to flow out of the bathroom and into the hallway. Needless to say, the shower design was absolutely horrible. The main reason for this critical flaw was that the shower curtain (or the shower rod) was too short. It left about a 6 inch gap between the bottom of the curtain and the floor.||We had to reach out to the front desk about this matter, and they even sent a maintenance person over to check it out since the water leak caused water to leak to the unit on the 2nd floor below ours. Their only solution was to place extra towels on the ground near the lip of area between the shower floor and the bathroom floor. In fact, they even provided us with a large bag of clean towels so that they can be used for this exact purpose.||Besides that issue, the rest of our stay at this resort was alright. I'm still willing to give this location 3 out of 5 until they fix that critical flaw...

I wasn’t very happy with the quality service that I have gotten specially in this place. This South Shore used to be my husband and my favorite place to stay at, but apparently I just have learned that they have changed the whole area to Wyndham resorts, and that is the reason I was told that’s why the services that was given to me was different. I was even surprised because I have made reservations a year and a month ahead of time. If anybody wants to read this, I have been a WORLDMARK owner for 24 years and I just cannot believe how ugly it has become. I just can’t wait to get out of this membership. I just want to quit very soon. I have made reservations for two properties and these two properties are the hottest place I’ve ever stayed at. I was very embarrassed with my friends who have stayed in the other area. After this experience, They definitely didn’t wanna buy any kind of ownership with WORLDMARK by WYNDHAM even if the presentation was very nice. I cannot even imagine how we were told to get out of the pool at 10 o’clock, which is the closing time, but it was done very rudely. I have asked many times to have someone come and help me with the patio door. I ended up learning how to do it instead because it was already very late at night and nobody have come. Every time I ask for stuff to fill the room like toilet paper, papers, paper towels, soaps, the lady who gives them acts like she is the one paying for everything to give me. Oh my goodness I’m paying more than two grand every month just to continue on being an owner of this timeshare. I’m paying more than what I’m paying...

Nice resort. The rooms are really large. We booked a 1/1 and in addition to the bedroom, it has a pullout sofa AND a Murphy bed, so realistically, the unit offers accommodations for more than 2 people. Having one bathroom might present issues for a larger group ... the bathroom's counter, toilet, and tub heights were lower than standard, so it made me think the unit was designed for accessibility. I would say the bathroom was definitely more utilitarian than stylish!! There is no central air, but a very large fan cooled things very efficiently. The 2-story buildings DID not have an elevator, but the 3-story buildings did ... just FYI. We did experience minor maintenance issues; our ice maker was inoperative (we were able to get ice at the front desk as needed), and we had to call the front desk for hand soap that hadn't been refilled after the previous visit. The property has one pool, which was a bit surprising for such a large complex, but it wasn't overrun on our late afternoon and early evening trips, so it seems the company has done their due diligence - the amenities of Lake Tahoe certainly offer vacationers lots of options away from the resort. Finally, it was great to have a Safeway across the street, but getting to hiking and biking trails did necessitate driving to spots, and that was a wee bit disappointing. The 'Lake' is .5 mile away, so in fairness, not the worst ...

Some of the staff were straight out rude. As soon as we got there the girl checking us in had an attitude. Then they wanted to set us up for a sales presentation I told them no multiple times. She would not stop even told me if I didn’t make an appointment she would get in trouble with her boss. The parking was an issue. We had the 3 bedroom that sleeps eight and were told we could only have one car. When I told Valerie why don’t you let owners know she said it’s in our confirmation letter. When I looked it said basically during peak season. It was not . The next day another associate told me not to worry about parking that there is plenty of space that the property wasn’t full and that we could park both cars. So we did. The next day we had a rude gentleman tell my husband that if we park again on the property he was going to call the sheriff! We have been owners for over 23 years. Absolutely ridiculous. The education/ learning appointment was a ploy to sale us another program. Natalie the manager was pleasant then when we said no we are not buying anything her attitude totally changed not for the good. The location was great and so was our place. Unfortunately a few of these people made it a bit less enjoyable. Overall I will go back and hopefully things will be better. Only 1 bbq worked.
