My diamond is real 100%. I have certification for it. I wasn’t asked for certification. I was only asked where I got it.
OK BEWARE -Especially if you’re wanting to sell what you THINK might be a diamond. Let me tell you a true story. I took one diamond earring of mine in to sell it since I had lost the other. The person behind the counter was a young man, maybe 23 years old. He stated that his family owned the store/business and he was there alone. His sister had left. My diamond is “J” color, 2.02 carat, ideal cut, round, vs1 or better. It has 2 maybe 3 very small carbon smokey inclusions undetectable to the naked eye.
The man behind the counter looked at my diamond with his jewelers eye piece. Turning it around looking at all sides, he pulled away from the eye piece and visually examined with his bare eyes and then looked at it again through his eye piece for several moments. Put the diamond down on the counter then He acted like there was a problem and said “let me go get my tester in the back” the kid reached for my diamond to take it with him, I said “I rather you leave it here if you don’t mind” kid said “ok I understand” He came back and put the tester on the diamond & the green shot to the top &beeped. Then the kid put the tester on it again & it beeped again & green. He said “there’s something wrong with my tester it’s not working, the batteries are low” he proceeded to hit the tester against his hand to knock it into working, then he started testing other random things & the tester was working going red or green depending He acted like it was messed up & said “let me put new batteries in it ”. He took his tester to the back & came back & He said “let’s check it again, the tester showed only red on my diamond”he said “ya that’s what I thought, batteries bad, ya this isn’t a diamond” I played along, “what kind of stone is it?” He said that it was moissanite, that it looks like a diamond & is pretty, people mistake it for diamonds. He said “I can give you a $100 for it if you want, thats the best I can do or try to sell it for you”I declined & said i would be back if I changed my mind. The kid there literally lied to me,thinking i didn’t know anything. He tried to play it off like it was a semi precious stone &had little value & he was doing me a favor by taking it off my hands for a good price. Which buyers of jewelry will not offer you more or a “good price” for a worthless stone. This son of the original owner should be ashamed. I can’t tell you if the parents taught their son to be dishonest or if it was just something the kid discovered to do on his own. I can’t help but wonder how many people he’s fooled, cheated & lied to over the course of his jeweler career. Especially maybe trusting elderly people who are having hard times & selling their great grandmas cameo broach worth thousands -the kid tells them it’s worth $100. And my rock-“Mom,Dad,look what I bought for $100, it’s a 2.02 carat j color ideal cut VS1 diamond we can sell for $11,000.00!” Fishy how the tester worked fine on everything & then he comes back & it’s showing my diamond is fake. It remains that kid knew damn good & well he could easily make $10,900.00 profit off my rock. There’s no doubt in my mind that that kid knew exactly what he was doing & intended on trying to get one over on me. His intention was to rip me off & then justify it by saying I was dumb. Never allow a jeweler to take your stone out of your site.I know my diamond & I could pick my diamond out of several of the same size, cut. Diamonds are as unique as you are, familiarize yourself w/your diamond by using a magnifier & memorizing its inclusions. Dishonest jewelers bank on people not knowing what their diamonds inclusions look like. Hypothetically speaking, if the kid had done a switch I would have known. Additionally if you’ve ever left your diamond here for repairs & it doesn’t have a serial #, I would have someone reputable authenticate it & make sure it’s your original diamond and make sure it’s...

I am a bit paranoid bringing my jewelry to a jewelers after bad experiences in the past, but Round hill jewelers made me feel very welcomed and secure. The front showroom is clean with a nice bouquet and chocolates at the front and the staff is very friendly.
I brought my engagement ring in to have it checked for any damage after it kept snagging on my shirt and the young lady at the front desk was very helpful. She inspected the ring with her loop and said that one of the prongs had broken off, which was causing the snag. She told me that the rest of the prongs were worn and needed to be worked on or possibly replaced. She went into the back to ask the jeweler and a young man came out and thoroughly looked over the ring before telling me that the mounting needed to be replaced if I wanted to continue to wear the ring every day. He showed me exactly where my ring had worn down and even let me look through his loop. He quoted me a price that was very fair and told me that he would also deep clean and polish my ring to give it a brand new feel. I decided to go ahead with it so he wrote me up and told me that I could pay when I picked it up and that my ring would be done in one week if not sooner, it would just depend on when the part came in. To my pleasant surprise he called me later the same week and told me it was ready to pick up.
It was beautiful! It looked like when my husband had first given it to me. I am very pleased with my ring and will definitely be back with anything else I have that needs to be fixed in the future. The two staff I spoke to were very informative and happy to help and answer any questions I had. Overall a...
Read moreIf I could put zero stars I would. My husband bought me a brand new wedding band for Christmas. It was 18K white gold band with 9 diamonds total.
I took it to Round Hill Jewelers to get a simple re-size and they gave it back to me with a broken diamond. When I took it back they said no problem they would order a new diamond and fix it.
When they gave me back the ring after the diamond had been replaced they said, "Oh its perfect, it's gorgeous." when I looked at the ring they had completely shaved off all of the detailing where the broken diamond once sat.
When I brought this to their attention and asked why they thought it was okay to give me back my ring in this condition, the owner of all people stated, "I was going on vacation and you called to see when your ring would be done so I figured you would be happy with it like this vs waiting." When I asked for their insurance information, he refused to provide it to me.
I would recommend avoiding this place at all costs, they might do a good job but I assure you if they mess something up they will state they can fix it and then continue to cause more damages.. ultimately they will not take responsibility and when you are upset the owner will just sit there looking at you with a smile on his face like it's not his problem - so...
