We had a very nice stay. They knew ADA rules and regulations which was an absolute PLUS! The room was very clean. Had a full small mini fridge (freezer too). Breakfas was hot continental. They wouldn’t allow late checkout which was 😒 but that’s ok. Overall would stay here again and YOU should too! #hotel #springfieldmo

I was super hopeful when reading reviews from others that this was a great hotel, super clean and recently updated, but unfortunately it did not live up to those standards. Some minor additional updates would be helpful and change my mind on staying here again. In the current condition, I would choose somewhere else to stay (for perspective it was myself and a 12 and 9 year old). First of all, I read reviews that the rooms were very clean. I would say they are decently cleaned, the old carpets and chairs definitely don’t look clean, but that’s not the cleaning people’s fault. Second the updates appear to be done cheaply. The floors are peeling up in areas where furniture has been moved (like the bed or fridge), which makes it appear as though this is likely just peel and stick “tile.” The bathroom was horribly designed. The bathtub is LITERALLY bowed in (like horizontally in the middle)… also the toilet is so close to the door you have to close the door to sit and use the bathroom. The bathroom sink area was decent, but some extra storage/ shelving would be nice with the extra space, especially for families. The bathroom door and handle were also in very poor condition and the toilet lid was cracked and chipped. The bathroom sink towel rack was completely broken off and the sink barely drained, and when it did, it was actually quite loud— kids kept thinking it was leaking.. Front door did not seal appropriately and felt very loose. There was a decent sized gap in the door/frame area which was unnerving. Curtains are also in poor condition. Lastly, the breakfast was very small choices. Scrambled “eggs,” sausage, 2 cereals, 1-2 choices bagels, toast, apples/oranges, yogurt, some little Debbie-looking cinnamon roll thing. Even adding at least a waffle maker would make this significantly better. Added coffee variety and choices would also. I was shocked to hear how many people use the hotel while they are being seen for medical reasons, and yet the hotel hasn’t taken the step to make the breakfast more accommodating and a larger variety. There are also no allergy- friendly options. PROS: The full (smaller) fridge and actual freezer were awesome benefits, especially for families with kids! The beds were super comfy and pillows really nice too. All bedding appeared quite clean and comfortable. Loved the big tv and even more the moving mount to pull it out and adjust it; we wanted to watch a volleyball game and used their hdmi cord to cast it to the tv from our laptop. I also loved the location. It was quiet for the most part and felt very safe. Staff were also very friendly. Kids loved the pool- more shaded areas would be nice.

I think one of the only good things about this hotel is the location. Pretty close to the hospital and MO State. I experienced my first time staying here and I honestly would never stay again. The front desk attendant was nice when I arrived but once I got to the room, it went downhill from there. Starting off with my room door being open before I even got to the room to use the key fob. “Oh the housekeeping must’ve left it open” but why?!! The first room I put in was absolutely disgusting! The bed looked unmade, there was a small bloodstain and the sheets were wrinkled and there was so much hair in the bed! Oh, also checking the mattress and seeing there was mold on it. The counters were not cleaned, stains on the chairs, curtains and paint scuffs on the wall made it unwelcoming. The blinds didn’t even shut completely and same with the door. I felt gross in the room so I asked to switch rooms. My coworker had hair in the bed too but said it wasn’t nearly as bad as the pictures I took…The attendant gladly switched me and went with me to check that the second room was cleaner. It was doable, better than the other. Still stains, doors/windows that didn’t fully shut though. There were also dead bugs under the window and mold in the bathroom…. Can’t escape it. People were also very loud outside the rooms at 2am… surprisingly you didn’t have the issue with the highway being next too the building but the thin walls and drunk people late night was not cool. For the price, I would say pay an extra $10 and find a better hotel down the road! I also looked at the reviews and found it hilarious that the “owner” had to use chat gpt to reply to one of the reviews…

I was super hopeful when reading reviews from others that this was a great hotel, super clean and recently updated, but unfortunately it did not live up to those standards at all and I would definitely choose somewhere else if I were visiting Springfield again.

First of all, I read reviews that the rooms were very clean. I would say they are decently cleaned, the old carpets and chairs definitely don’t look clean, but that’s not the cleaning people’s fault.

Second the updates were definitely done as cheaply as possible and it shows. The floors are peeling up in areas where furniture has been moved (like the bed or fridge), which makes it appear as though this is likely just peel and stick “tile.” The bathroom was horribly designed. The bathtub is LITERALLY bowed in (like horizontally in the middle)… I took pictures and the middle has 1/2 a “tile” before the corner and where the wall meets the tub is literally an entire “tile,” meaning it’s about a 3-4” difference… like horrible… also the toilet is so close to the door you have to close the door to sit and use the bathroom.

First, be aware that this is hardly a hotel. It is setup as a motel with no interior navigation. Right outside the rooms are dozens and dozens of cigarette butts. When I mentioned it being a 100% smoke free hotel they said “well they don’t smoke in the rooms”. But they smoke in the pathway connecting the rooms so there’s not an escape from the smoke smell unless you’re tucked in your room. If you want to navigate to the lobby you will pass smokers. The door wouldn’t even latch on the first try. I had to continuously slam the door to get it to latch and even then felt unsafe. Whenever I went to requested a full refund they said they wouldn’t. Angela was at the front desk and is exceptionally unprofessional and rude. When I initially walked in I asked about the pool and she told me it was closed. Didn’t apologize, and lacked customer service skills. She kept rolling her eyes at me when I was talking about the reasons I wanted to cancel and she kept saying there’s a “no refunds or cancellations” policy. I kept telling her “and this hotel is not what it says it is”. After a solid 10 minutes the manager she was on the phone with finally decided she could cancel the last 5 nights of our 6 night stay. I told her that was reasonable and we continued with that plan. They offered for us to stay that night, but me and my wife are very uncomfortable with the door not latching. Today I called Priceline and they contacted the hotel, spoke to the manager on duty named Candy, and processed the refund for the last 5 nights of our stay. I’m keeping it as a 1 star review because they should have had the professionalism to start with this outcome without the rudeness and eye rolling. This “hotel” needs to make sure their employees put a smile on their face and learn how to handle conflict. There should be designated smoking areas AWAY from the hallways, across the parking lot. You guys need to fix your doors. Also you should change your name to “The Bradford MOTEL”. I would never stay here, especially if you...
