On July 16th some of my friends and I went into this Waffle House at around 1am and we experienced the worst customer service any of us have ever gotten anywhere. We had been seated by a man and we let him know that only one of us was getting food and that we all wanted waters. He communicated that we wanted waters to his coworker, a woman with red/purple-y dyed hair in pigtails. She then proceed to to fully start yelling at my friends and I, telling us that we couldn’t just get water, that we can’t just hog a booth (there were three other groups in the whole restaurant, one of them a bunch of teenagers who had come in at the same time as us and there were free tables everywhere), and basically just assuming no one was getting food before we even ordered. For some reason she was our waitress for the rest of the terrible experience, where she slammed down the waters onto our table and quite literally threw the syrups my friend asked for onto our table. And when one of my friends noticed there were droplets of coke or something on the mouth part of his water glass, he told us he was going to ask for a new glass, which we told him not to because we were genuinely scared of her at this point. But he did anyway, and as he told her why he needed a new cup she interrupted him, not even listening to what he said, and started yelling at us again and saying that he was wasting her time and that we weren’t even going to tip her? She didn’t even take his request seriously and just assumed he was causing trouble without giving him a chance. The rest of the experience went along the same lines, with my friend not even getting the right food she ordered. I want to point out that the other group of teenagers that came in at the exact time as us got smiles, jokes, and politeness from her. We were boys and girls and they were boys and girls, the only difference was that they were all white peoples while 3/5 of us were not. I don’t know if she was having a bad day or just treated us like we were delinquents because of bias. Either way, someone like that should not be working in customer service, as someone who also works in a restaurant I can’t even imagine treating anyone like that.

This happened a few months ago (July 16th to be exact), and I thought about not sharing about it but I decided to. We came in with a group of 5 people. My friend and I had planned to split a peanut butter chip and chocolate chip waffle, and some hash-browns. The rest of the group planned to drink waters. We were greeted by a nice man, who gave us silverware, but only my friend and I kept the silverware. After we had ordered waters with the man, and our server had noticed that we told the man we didn’t want silverware, her immediate reaction was to scream at us. We were still being kind, and my friend had noticed he had something in his water. He asked for a new cup and she started going off. She told us we were wasting her time because we were taking up the table (there were TWO booths taken in the restaurant, and a few people at the bar), and that she wasn’t getting tipped (let me repeat, from the start I had planned on ordering enough food to feed two people). She continued to toss the syrup at us. She was being nice to the group of teenagers who were drunk driving, and underage drinking, but wasn’t being nice to us because she wasn’t going to be tipped enough for bringing 5 waters, a waffle, and a plate of hash browns to the table? She also got the waffle order wrong, but after she had sounded countless snarky things to us I didn’t want her to spit in my food. It was completely uncalled for. I’m not sure what kind of day, or week she was having, but she completely took her anger out on us. It’s immature, and selfish. Everyone else in the restaurant (customers and employees) were confused as to why she was acting like that. This also felt racially motivated, but my friend will speak on our behalf for that part. This was disgusting.

Today around 12:30 my boyfriend and I came to this Waffle House to meet our friend for his birthday, and parked next to this blue truck with a dog locked inside. I first went inside to let the employees know and was met with hostility and anger from one of the employees, who came to the defense of the person who locked the dog in a car on an 85 degree day. He told me that he personally knew who it was, the the dog was extremely well behaved as if that even mattered, that he had water, and that the windows were cracked so it wasn’t against the law so they would not do anything. We left and as I was calling my friends to tell them we were leaving, the same employee came out and very angrily told us we made the person who LOCKED THEIR DOG IN A CAR uncomfortable, and that we had to leave the property. We called the police and they told us they were sending someone out immediately. It seems like he knew what he was doing was wrong. I don’t know how we ended up being made out to be the bad guys in the situation. We won’t be going back.

A group of 4 of us came in for a bite to eat after watching a comedy show. Literally the WORST service ever. Not just talking about service at a Waffle House....worst service out of ANYWHERE I've ever eaten! The waitress (Holly) was definitely strung out on some kind of speed or pills, then she came to our table and only took 2 out of the 4 of our orders....by the time the other 2 even had their drink order taken, the first couple had already finished their plates. When the last couple's food came out, it was missing the side of bacon that comes with the meal, and the hashbrowns had no chz or onions as ordered and charged for, and lastly, cold as ice B&G. We even asked for the bacon that came with the meal, to which she responded, "It wasn't done, so it'll be one more minute."...never got it. Once the check came, we were charged for the extra toppings on hashbrowns and full price for the meal missing half the order. When I brought it to her attention, she replied, "Well it doesn't even matter cause the meal is same price with or without the bacon." ....Yeah, but we WANTED the bacon lol...that's why we ORDERED it! Then, I pointed out the hashbrowns, so she jerked the check out of my hand and snapped, "There! I took $5 off...are you happy now?!" No, we were not lol. I work as a bartender in a dive bar that gets crazy busy....there were 4 workers and only about 15 people in there...no excuse for the service, food or attitude to be so terrible. Whoever owns this particular Waffle House on National needs to fire half the staff...especially the drug addict taking the orders. As we were leaving, we overheard two other verbal confrontations regarding the awful service, and the other guy was claiming his check was wrong....
