The food was very delicious. It was cooked to perfection and very hot when it came out. Thats where the good of this review ends. I arrived around 8pm so there was not many patrons nor staff. I walked in and sat at the bar. I sat patiently while the 2 bar staff flirted with each other and argued about a jar of pickles. Both bar staff walked past me several times and even stood in front of me without greeting me. Two apparent regulars showed up while I was still waiting to be acknowledged. They were immediately given beers by the male bar tender. Finally, about 20 mins after sitting at the bar unrecognized, the male bar tender asked if I was ok. I requested a Long Island Ice Tea. He informed the female bar staff as it appeared they were taking turns with who got the next guest. Even after being told I was requesting a drink and that she missed me, she still tended to other customers and refilled their drinks THEN brought me my drink without an apology. How did I get my food ordered? Well I took it upon myself to walk to the end of the bar to get a menu as I thought this would be an obvious sign I wanted to order food. I already knew what I wanted from online but was giving the staff a chance to save themselves. Again I sat with a menu in front of me for at least 30 minutes and I was NEVER asked if I wanted to order food. Instead, I had to ask the male bartender of kitchen was still open because the girl taking care of me was off doing who knows what. She promptly took my order when notified and got me my 2nd second drink. Its my opinion that no patron should walk in and sit a bar with under 10 patrons and not be acknowledged for such a long time. I'd be willing to give this place another chance but perhaps with a different server who acknowledges and checks on the customer. Service was...

Attn Springfield and surrounding areas! My friend and I like to try new restaurants so we stopped in for some food and a drink. After we saw the menu which was typical bar food we changed our minds and selected to have just a drink. On the owners statement in reference to how my drink was supposedly made in front of me is a complete lie! My friend and I walked in and sat in the back of the restaurant and waited for service. After the menus were delivered we decided not to eat bar food and settled on a drink each. My drink was never ever made in front of me, period! The waitress returned with our drinks. My friends drink..small glass half full wasn't what she had in mind so I spoke to the waitress and politely asked that she remove it from her tab and bring her the same drink only make it with Southern Comfort. When the drink came back to our table ..this time the glass was only half full and it had a bunch of shredded fruit with chunks of brown stuff that looked terrible. I walked to the bar and paid for my drink which tasted like pure pineapple juice. ( Which as the owner claimed in the reviews it was said the drink was made in front of me) complete lie! My friend asked to return her drink at the bar..the waitress went and got the manager who was horably hateful to both of us! He came out and told us to get out and never come back!. I should have taken photos for proof of our experience but the experience with the waitress was so chaotic that we decided to leave. Everyone be aware of what you could be walking into. We had a party in the private room a few weeks ago. I reserved the room at least three months in advance and met with the owner Dalton twice. He told me both times there would be "no charge" for the room rental due to the fact that we reserved for almost 60 people and the cost of the rental would be absorbed into the money we were spending on food and drinks for our guests. The party was wonderful, and the staff was amazing. We paid at the end of the night but did not look at the itemized bill until the next day only to find we were charged for the room rental. I reached out to Dalton the very next day to ask about this and of course her never responded to me. Finally, around two weeks later when I made one last attempt to let him know how disappointed I was that he just ignored me he responded with lies, lies, lies as to why he did charge me for the room rental. One excuse was that the party was on a busy bar night. Ok, well, the party was booked on a Saturday night well in advance and I was told there would be NO ROOM RENTAL FEE. After hearing all his excuses, it was clear he was not going to stand by his word. Please do not be a fool like me and trust his word! make sure you get a signed written contract. Sadly, I thought he was a standup guy........MY BAD! It really isn't even the money, it's the principle. Sidebar now has at least 50-60 adults that will never do business there. Best of...
