Firehouse Subs Twin Oaks — Restaurant in Springfield

I ordered a steak and cheese but customized tonight. I asked for Italian dressing light, Italian seasoning regular and salt and pepper light and paid extra to add pepper jack cheese as well as other things on the sandwich. Well got home no pepper jack cheese only the provolone and the bottom bun was all soggy as they put the Italian dressing, chopped pickles, banana peppers on the bottom bun before putting the meat and cheese on top, bun just ripped apart. Also I couldn’t taste or see the Italian seasoning or salt and black pepper. Major disappointment. I added extra types of meat etc and paid over $15 for a sandwich that wouldn’t hold together. Flavor wise the meat was good and the products seemed fresh but if I pay for something I want to get what I ordered. Honestly won’t be going to location again. Now I know why it was completely dead at dinner time but was the closest one to me at the time. Never had this problem at other locations. Decided to return paid extra for pepperjack cheese on the New York steamer but no pepperjack. I asked for itailian seasoning and no seasoning. I asked for salt and pepper no pepper or salt could be tasted. No pickle spear which was ordered and bun was soggy again even with asking for extra toasted. The reply I got was to reach out to general manager but why waste my time when they should be reaching out to me. Thanks for ripping me off again and not giving me what I paid extra for. Guess I was wrong to try this location again. No other location close so I guess I won’t eat firehouse subs anytime soon. No other location I’ve eaten at in the past had these problems and the sandwiches were right every time so I guess I should just say choose firehouse subs but not...

Usually firehouse is really good, but this visit wasn't that great. Granted, we went in late, only 30 minutes til they closed and I have worked on the fast food industry before and understand they want to get out of there quick after close so they "pre-close", but you still have to focus on good customer service and quality foods. First, we had planned on ordering it to go anyways, but after the employee rushed through our order, forgetting to put my number in for the points even though I reminded him 2x), he then said, "is carryout okay with you?" Implying that we were not welcome to stay and eat there. Then, my boyfriend's sandwich was made wrong (he hates onions and we asked for no onions but they put them on it anyways), and both sandwiches were very poorly constructed, just thrown together quickly, to put it mildly, and they were completely soggy. They usually put the pickle under the paper but they just threw them on top and the whole sandwich tasted like pickles because they didn't even try to avoid getting the pickle juice everywhere from grabbing them out of the bucket.

So, word of advice, don't go 30 minutes before they close or your food will be horrible and definitely not worth the $30 dollars you spend on 2 meals.

Only docked it 2 stars because they usually do a much better job, just not this time...

I ordered a Togo order today since it was close to where I work and had to take a quick lunch. I drove over there and picked up my lunch (I was 5 mins early than the Promise time) filled my drink, and left. In my head, I thought great! That was so smooth! I get to my office (2 mins away) open my bag that was stapled together and there was no brownie included in my bag that I ordered and no napkins or anything. Opened my box to eat my sandwich and the entire thing was soggy. The bread was mush. Half of it was so covered in mayo that I couldn’t taste anything else. I ended up throwing a good portion of it away. I saw on my order slip that I could go to firehouse listens and leave a review. I went to look for my receipt to give them the number on it, and just like half of my order, it was missing too…. I’m not sure what happened here but I am very disappointed with my order and that I didn’t even get to enjoy what I paid for and on top of it, I’m still hungry since I couldn’t eat most of my meal.
