Read moreWe had been on a trip and making a long drive back to Louisiana. We decided we had driven long enough and found the Richmond Inn on the internet. The host was out but I left my number. We arrived there before she had a chance to return the call. She was so welcoming and had a room left for the night. She brought up drinks and ice, opened the window and we had a wonderful night. The bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent and there was a sofa, recliner and rocking chair. The next morning we had the best breakfast ever! She cooked eggs, we had coffee, juice, danish, fruit. The conversation we had with the host was great. She was knowledgeable about the area, current affairs and everything we discussed. Sometimes a little talk makes a good difference with a welcoming banter. All in all it was a great room, historic house and a great host. Worth your time if you are...
