TERRIBLE SERVICE Wednesday July 19th at 3pm if management has to know. When we came in there was a curly headed girl with a pony tail, with glasses, who didn’t greet us. My mother waited and had to say hi first and that we were 4 guests. She did not say hi she just said give me one moment in a low voice while looking at the computer. It would’ve been nice if she looked at us as soon as we came in and said “hi, how are you guys just give me one moment and I will bring you to your seats”. At the table we had to keep calling someone to come to us and the girl was nowhere to be found. Even the coworkers were telling her what we had asked for and to bring it to the table. Nobody came to us and asked us if the food was alright or if we needed anything. There was another worker that had her knee on the chair having a long conversation with a guest (the entire time since we got there and was looking around I’m assuming to see if one of the workers were going to say something to her) and also didn’t help us. I get that it was slow but it would’ve been nice to have some help. One of my family members had to get up and had to ask the guy that was at the bar for containers and the check. He was nice and apologized and helped back our food. The only time they will pay attention to you is if it’s busy. But it shouldnt be like that. Overall Food was great. (Except one of our members were given their food first while the rest of ours took 20...
Read moreWhenever I try a Peruvian spot for the first time, I always go with the classic: Lomo Saltado. Fiesta’s version didn’t disappoint. The dish came out fresh… the fries and tomatoes still had a crisp bite, which is rare. The steak was tender with barely any tough or fatty pieces, and the rice soaked up just the right amount of that savory lomo juice. Flavor-wise, it was spot-on: not over-seasoned, which let the natural tastes of the steak, onions, and fries shine through. Easily one of the best lomo saltados I’ve had. 9/10
The green sauce? Decent. Not spicy, but still flavorful. I’d rate it 6/10.
I also grabbed an alfajor for dessert. While it was fresh and tasty, the cookies were a bit too thin and the manjar blanco filling was on the lighter side. Could’ve used a bit more richness. 6/10
Service was excellent. Friendly staff, attentive without hovering. My only minor issue: I ordered the lunch portion of lomo but got the full-sized plate instead. I didn’t realize until the bill came. Honestly though, no complaints—it was that good. 8/10
The ambiance was clean and welcoming, though I would’ve loved to hear traditional Peruvian music instead of generic Latin pop. Just a personal preference. 7/10
Overall: highly recommend! Great first experience and I look forward to trying...
Read moreI came back here almost a year ago and loved the food the first time. Not too long ago I just came back from eating there with family, and the experience was much different this time around. The staff seemed less friendly, the stares from the servers alone didn't feel very welcoming. The food did come out quickly, yet it sadly didn't meet the same expectations as before.
Their tallarin verde with steak was the better of the dishes we had. Their parihuela, a seafood soup, was more spicy than flavorful and lacked salt while their jalea, a fried seafood dish, was over-fried and mostly consisted of fried calamari with very few pieced of other seafood. The last time I ate here I also had the jalea, which was perfectly fried and had more of a variety of seafood (e.g. mussels, crabs, fish, clams, and squid.)
Towards the end of the meal as we reviewed the check, the servers added a tip on their own (~$17) which is typically placed for groups of six or more. We were a group of three. Overall the food expectations did not meet and the odd stares from the staff did not make the experience any better.
If you're looking for an authentic Peruvian restaurant, then, sadly, this is not the place for such...
