The second I walked into Kouzina, I was visually and physically transported to Greece. There was an aura in the air that was very reminiscent of traditional Greek festivities and immediately drew me in. I was greeted by a handsome young chap named Nathan who reminded me so much of my brother. I am Greek. I sat in the bar as I was alone and two bartenders who I will never forget named Sunil and Briana were the absolute best. Sunil, the Egyptian stallion as I nicknamed him provided a service that was on par with the best in the industry. The only thing better than his devilishly good looks was his attention to detail. While I enjoyed my time with Sunil, Briana was the highlight of my night. Fine shyt as I came to nickname her, provided with unmatched recommendations and was so hospitable and made me feel so at home. The Mykonos Mule was a stand out for me absolutely enticing and reminded me of being in the beach on a hot day in Greece, hopefully with Briana. The kotopolo (however the hell you spell it, I am Greek and I can't spell Greek food for shit) was fantasic, my sincere compliments to the Chef. Another stand out for me was Christian (also known as Sebastian). While in the middle of a busy night, somehow found the time to speak to me and make small talk and was a joy to be around. Luis was also such a friendly soul who made sure the restaurant was still running effectively sometimes carrying 6 dishes at a time. It was actually kind of impressive. I also want to give a quick shout out to Chelsea who appeared to be the manager as the black blazer was a dead giveaway. In the middle of an extremely busy night she was able to go to each and every table and ensure we were having a positive experience. That is not easy and wanted to give her a special shout out, its clear she loves what she does and is dedicated to her customers. All in all Kouzina was an extremely positive experience that transported me back home. I applaud everyone who made this wonderful experience...
Read moreOne of the easiest and most difficult reviews I have wanted to do in a while. I had one of the most enjoyable experiences at Kouzina that I've had at a restaurant in Stamford in a while. The setting was a first date on a day where it had actually rained up until a few hours prior. to arriving. The tables outside where clean and the entire staff was kind and friendly and couldn't wait to seat me. I was waiting for my dinner companion, and to be clear, it was a first date. When we both sat down outside, the staff was attentive and helpful. After having an appetizer or two, which were very tasty and sized more than appropriately.. The mosquitoes were a bit of an issue, and after only mentioning it briefly that we might want to move inside, we were gently and whisked to a very comfortable booth inside. Everything was quickly and perfectly moved inside for us. The atmosphere inside was great and the staff was phenomenal at suggesting options. From the appetizers we enjoyed together, to the fish dinner I had ordered (sorry, I was focused on my date and not her meal ) , It was an absolutelu perfect experience. The food, service and the price was all fantastic. Thank you and I cannot wait to return to try something else on the menu, hopefully on the second date. Thank you...
Read moreWas in Stamford for a night, never been before. The ratings here looked good for food but a few negative notes for service. Sat at the bar because it was quite crowded - good atmosphere for a lively Saturday night, but don't go here if you're looking for calm and quite. I ordered a drink and app and entree. Service was decent for food but bar was a little slow. Overall, great food but don't come if you're in a rush. My main complaints were 1) ordered a seltzer, was charged for it, and then when I asked for a refill it took over 5' both times (while seated at bar) and I was given plain water with ice when I had requested and paid for a seltzer and requested no ice. 2) asked for a side of ketchup with fries and waited for over 20', reminded staff twice, was never brought out. I understand busy having worked at restaurants for almost 3 years but 20' for a ketchup that never came is quite ridiculous. I don't usually complain but I eventually just paid and left because by then my fries were cold and I could tell I wasn't a priority for the staff, so I wanted to let them use the seat for someone else. Still, didn't really enjoy the experience outside of the...
