!! Honest Review. Please read !!
Guys, Read this before you make a decision. They say "You get what you pay for" which is usually true, but not in this case. You get nothing.
My own personal experience... Day 1. I had to change rooms twice in the first 15 minutes. The first room smelled of smoke. This is supposed to be a non-smoking facility. The second room did NOT have the AC working. Finally I got a room that did NOT smell and the AC worked.
Rooms are just OK. Low lighting. Very small. Here is what you need to know.
They say breakfast is free. IT is. But it is kind of a joke. All they have is some bars and coffee. If you expect bagels or slices of bread or fruits etc, you will be disappointed.
Website says that all rooms come with full kitchen and utensils. While there is a kitchen, there are absolutely no utensils. Not even a spoon. NOTHING AT ALL. Now I changed 3 rooms and all were the same. So this is NOT a room-specific issue. Not sure what good is a kitchen if there is no cookware / silverware. When I spoke to the staff, they said it can be made available on request. So I requested and all I got was 2 small plates and a fork and spoon. Then I asked again and finally for a pan and spatula. Bottom line - Having a kitchen is USELESS. So that is that.
Website says all rooms come with blow dryers or can be obtained on request. Well guess what ? You guessed it right. No blow drying for you. I asked and asked but could NOT get a dryer. So that is that.
-- While the rooms are supposed to be no-smoking rooms, the corridor / lobby is not. So it smells like smoke generally. Occupants are out there smoking a lot. Guys, some of the occupants have been living for a very long time here.
-- Due to being very close to an airport, there is a lot of noise from the planes taking off / landing. This is not the Hotel's fault but it can be a bit annoying at times.
-- Saved the best (or in this case - worst) for last. The toilets clog and the customers will have to plunge those themselves. During my first and definitely last stay @ this facility, I know of at least 3 or 4 rooms that had bathroom emergency and plunger happened to be a hot commodity. I needed it myself twice.
Spend a few extra bucks and there are many more much better alternatives in...
Read moreI give one star because it will not let me give 0. This was by far the worst hotel and experience I have ever had with a hotel.
I booked my reservation via hotwire, and unfortunately my flight into Dulles airport got extremely delayed. So I called this hotel twice that day telling them I will be a super late check in and that I wouldnt be there until after midnight. They said thats not a problem, and that they are open 24 hours.
I get to the hotel around 12:45am. The front desk entrance door is locked with a sign saying to dial 0 on the phone in the box next to the door for late check ins after 11pm. I did that, no answer. I waited 10 minutes, called again, no answer, wait another 10 minutes, no answer. At this points its passed 1am. I call the reservations line for this hotel and they tell me they will try and call the hotel and hotel manager on my behalf (call took 20 minutes). They come back and tell me no one is answering and cant help me apart from me starting a new reservation with them with another Extended stay America in another nearby city and still pay! So I hang up and try dialing 0 again...still no answer. At this point its been an hour almost of waiting outside!
Finally an employee who works the front desk apparently comes and opens the door for me. He doesnt smile or apologize, and looks grumpy to be helping me... He gives me the key to the room and off I go. I go to the room and the key doesnt work! Now i carry all my stuff back to the lobby and he gives me another key which worked. I finally got to be at 2am when I could have been in bed by 1am (had an interview that next day at 7am).
As I try to fall asleep, i feel something crawling on me...the bed had ants! see picture below.
I am disgraced by the service at this hotel of 0 customer service, and terrible rooms.
Never again will...
Read moreI've been here over a year and it sucks. So bad here. My sink doesn't drain, but my bathroom ceiling does. Right onto me as I use the toilet. In fact I've woken up a few times to just a lot of water in the munathroom.ruining the toilet paper I bought. I brought this up when we first moved in but they change management so fast and often that things just get left for ever. We didn't have lights on our building for about 8 months, all during the winter when it got dark 3 seconds after the sun came up. The plans over head are annoying and the fire alarm also goes off a lot but don't worry it won't call the fire department, it's disconnected. But if you have work to do. You won't be able to do it since the wifi drops so often it's normal. The office has weird hours for a hotel. Also the fact that they allow men to sit in the parking lot drinking and throwing their bottle caps on the ground or their bottles making glass on the ground.
Update time! Still here sadly. But now there's no wifi. None is any building but the front desk. So you know the one employee they have of staff a night )who can't do anything, has no keys, doesn't know anything.) Can be on their phone. I also love that they give me the phone number to call instead of you know doing their job and calling. They said the wifi has been out since 1pm it's 8:20pm now and still no fix. No one came to check anything. But don't worry maintenance is scheduled in tomorrow. So even though we all paid we get no wifi. No breakfast. No safety as the fire alarm was pulled 2 nights ago and went off for over 30 mins. My hubby had to call 911 since the fire alarms aren't hooked up...
