Where do I start!!! If I could give zero stars, I definitely would! This place needs to be condemned, torn down and rebuilt! My family and I had to stay at this hotel long term and we were very disappointed. First off the hotel is dimly lit and this is probably so that you can't see the dirt and stains on the walls and in the carpet. The smell of mildew hits you like a ton of bricks. I was given a room that had feces in the toilet and urine on the floor. This room was supposedly recently cleaned. There were no apologies or comps given to myself or to my family. The front desk person just told one of the environmental services worker to put us in the room next door. The carpet tiles in the room were filthy, stained and lifting from the floor. The "white" bed linen was dingy and yellow. The sheets on one of the beds had blood on them. I was horrified! My husband and I went to Walmart and bought face cloths and towels, two air mattresses, sheets, throw blankets, pillows and cases. We also bought lysol and other disinfectants sprayed down the room and everything in it. We didn't put the air mattresses on the floor, we actually put them on top of the mattresses on the beds and slept that way. I did the white glove test on the furniture and let me just say the furniture was nasty and sticky. The cheap little coffee maker that was provided was also filthy with food stains. We didn't eat breakfast bc the meat looked under cooked and the food just wasn't appetizing. We tried finding other accommodations near by, but there were no other hotels in the area. We contacted the Holiday Inn in Weirton, WV and made reservations a few days out. Until then we had to stay put. While checking out we noticed that we were over-charged and had to stalk the General Manager, (let's just call her "Mary"), for a refund. Per my description of this place, can you imagine paying upto $250.00 per night! This is what happened to us. They qouted one fee per night and charged way more. Each time we tried contacting "Mary" to discuss the charges she was never available. She was either in a meeting, in an interview, at lunch...well, you get the picture. I still don't know who she is or what she looks like. It took about a week for the over-charge amount be refunded, and after all if that it wasn't the correct amount. We took a loss only bc my husband and I were tired of the lies and excuses for the overages. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT STAY AT THE PLACE! It's a discrace to the city! If you want to relax in comfort, cleanliness and professionalism go to the Holiday Inn in Weirton, WV. It's literally a few miles away. We stayed there the remainder of our time. I truly commend the GM (lets just call her "Brandy"), and also her staff. Go see them, they'll take good care of you and your family. After looking at the other reviews, all I see is apologies one after the other from the owner. It seems like this has been going on for years! This is truly unacceptable. If nothing else these room need a deep cleaning, new carpet and...
Read moreIf I could give NO STARS, I would. This is the absolute worst hotel room I've ever been in. As soon as we opened the door, the smell was horrendous! They gave us this note about smoking in the room, and this room smells like smoke and mold. The pictures I included are of the window and the drape. Clearly, there is a leak, yet they keep allowing guests to stay in this room. I read a review someone left from 2W ago, and our room had no other sink toiletries but the bar of soap. It's not really an issue, but set up all rooms the same. Also, and this is HUGE, the mattress does NOT have a full cover to protect from bed bugs. The menial cover it has come off easily, and underneath is an old, minimal mattress. I ended up taking pics of the carpet, which looks like it hasn't been cleaned in YEARS. The pics don't highlight what you see in person. This is my husband's hometown, and he didn't want to make a big deal of it because we only stayed a few hours overnight, but I am NEVER staying here again! The next rime we come here, we come and go the same day. The elevator is dirty and smells of urine as soon as the door opens. The floor of it is filthy. It's in a good location, right off the highway, and there are dove products in the nasty, outdated, dingy shower, but other than that, this place has a foot in a trap house/drug den. It's disgusting. Stay in Pittsburgh or Robertson and drive here for the day if you...
Read moreThe first night clerk was very robotic and seemed annoyed. Somehow I was booked for 4 rooms, yet they couldn't do anything about it. I heard her tell another customer the regional manager will be here in the morning. I asked if I could get their name, she said they won't be able to help you.
Laundry, vending, ice, pool, was all out of order.
We stayed because we had an emergency and needed a warm place to stay over Thanksgiving. Honestly I wouldn't even give a bad review because I appreciate everyone in this field because I know it's rough, but when I asked for an extra pillow for the night since the first night hurt my back I was denied. I would say screw it and go buy a pillow somewhere , but it's Thanksgiving nothing's open.
On the good side the workers in the morning were amazing!
I wouldn't be as irritated from this stay if it was cheaper, over 300 for 2 nights is crazy if your stay feels like a motel not a hotel.
I do hope this business is successful and wish the workers here a great future.
I just know I wouldn't stay here if I...
