1st off I love the meatball sandwiches here and I have never had an issue until today. I will also say it's not the food I had an issue with. It was the staff. I have gone to this establishment for over 15 years now and I have family members that have grown up eating capris as children. But today....was absolutely ridiculous. There was a different lady behind the counter than usual and she was less than pleasant to deal with. I was given the wrong drink which is fine. But, when I kindly let her know I asked for something else, she looked at me as if I changed my entire order, grabbed the drink hastily and then gave me an attitude while she proceeded to abruptly grab the next customers money out of her hands very rudely after she just spent about $30 on food. Not only that, but she also treated that customer and the one behind her like garbage as well. We are all paying customers, have some respect for those that pay your bills. I know I am just one person but if I ever see this person working behind the counter, I will turn around and get back in my car. I don't care how good the food is, be respectful. Word spreads very quickly in the small towns and having several people waiting in line witnessing this atrocious behavior is not good...
Read moreOne of those great places that focus on just a few items and get them correct. Here are the components of greatness: 1) The bread is just the right size and sturdy (but not crusty) to stand up the the amazing sauce that goes on the sandwiches 2) The sauce not sweet but full of flavor from the meat that is simmered in it 3) The hot sausage is spicy. It is as fully as spicy as I think Italian hot sausage should be. They form it into a patty so it works on the sandwich. The mild sausage is quite good as well but not my favorite 3) The Meatball is perfectly cooked and tender. I guess it's somewhat flat to fit in the sandwich? Not sure but it's full of spices and flavor. I like cheese on the meatball and peppers on the sausage. You could get both but why? That would be overkill.
No seating and simple to-go and they only take cash...
Read moreUsed to love this place. There were 5 workers... 6 people but together, only 3 customers, including myself. They wanted me to wait after I paid for my 2 sandwiches to buy sausage links out if the bain. 1 ttworker was talking on the phone holding it with her chin making customer before me order. Did not use gloves. Did not wash. She made 20 sandwiches. 3 other females came in to work. Put their smokes, purses, down hung their coats, DID NOT WASH THEIR HANDS. Another female came in to work as well. Went back out to move her car. She came in put her stuff away. DID NOT WASH HER HANDS. 3 customers, 5 dirty workers, and I had to wait after paying for my order to buy more??? Really! I asked them to put gloves on to make my friends sandwiches. there were 5 women behind that counter that did not wash...
