0 stars if possible! Only Jeff from maintenance was kind, understanding and tried to help. DJ I guess is the main person in charge and Jeff has zero say in anything. My room, let me tell you all about the disgusting and room that is falling apart. Little things that might not matter to some: No full length mirror but all other or most other rooms did have. No iron or ironing board. (Place for them) No hair dryer (place for one) Towel rack broke and kept falling off wall. Both sinks leaked, do not put anything on counter gets soaked. No phone No microwave No fridge TV screen cracked No cable so no stations on TV No blanket on bed Sheet too small so only 3 corners on Huge thing Paid for a room with two queens got a room with I queen Ceiling literally leaking water, could sit and just watch it, drip Floor soaked from the leaking ceiling Not only was the room falling apart but their advertising photos are NOT accurate. I was suppose to have a room with two queens, not only did I not get two beds I only 1 queen, their own advertisement shows nowhere is this a room they offer. I'm guessing only 1 queen in room because of the water coming out of the ceiling would have drenched the second bed. Advertised gym, closed. Pool literally had a garden hose in it filling. It might be an indoor pool but not heated! Hot as it could be in the pool area, clearly no AC working. Parking lot very dark at night and not safe (holes you can trip in), bolts, screws in parking spots (watch your tires). Fountains/water ponds not functioning. Oh I should mention fireplace was blocked and smoke filled front lobby. It's a shame because the people below the guy "in charge" seemed to be nice but you can only do so much if you're not in charge. Take every negative photo and review very seriously. This place should be condemned. I'll admit I looked online and saw the photos and reviews but never imagined the complete lack of respect from voicing honest issues with the room. Stay very clear and beware Was I refunded, yes but not till after DJ blamed me for, heaven forbid what HE told me I would have. He kept speaking very loudly at me for all to hear so he never heard me say multiple times I did not want to argue and tried to go see the room they offered to move me to. As I held the key and desperately tried to get away from his verbal abuse, I finally gave up and gave in to his demands I should leave There were I guess 100s who would love the room and even sleep on the floor? Btw he did not hesitate to put the room back up available, just disgusting. Heaven forbid I expected what HE told me I had. He expected me to be grateful for the water drenched empty room and just shut up and bow down to him. This man, has ZERO people skills, never once apologized just blamed me. Probably because he was stoned aka high from all the marijuana he smoked, just nasty. Maybe he expects women to shut up and worship him, take abuse and not ever question him? Nothing he has or promotes is worth the disgusting way he treated me, absolutely nothing. I'm certain this review will get a standard response like all the other honest negative reviews. If this management truly wants to make a difference, never have this DJ at your establishment, actually do the renovations that seem to be the excuse used when there is any sort of complaint, don't use this as a means to dismiss the rundown, falling apart, dirty, disgusting hotel! If none of this is possible, condem the place and have it leveled to the ground where it belongs. STOP renting out rooms that aren't 100% suitable for life in them! These roofs didn't just...
Read moreBelieve the negative reviews. The pictures make the place look better, than in person. Upon entering, it was cold, it smelled like mold. They had a forced air heater to heat up a big lobby, that didn't help much with the amount of people going in and out of the doors. The front desk employees were all very nice, as they tried to help the best they could, addressing all concerns that were brought up.
The walk to the rooms: There's two ways to go to your room, either through the pool or through the hallways... because each room has two entryways if you're on the first floor. I've never seen that before, but it makes sense if you intend on using the pool during your stay. The hallways are sketchy af, dark stains on the carpet from who knows what, with ceiling tiles missing/removed for the fire sprinkler system and again, smells like mold. Lots of water leaks stains. The stairs to the second floor is just as sketchy, but there are cameras. There are no elevators.
The rooms: The first floor room I was originally given was in really rough shape. I've stayed at cheap motels that looked more cleaner than this place. The curtains wouldn't close all the way, water leaks stains on ceilings, leaking bathroom faucet, the door from the poolside didn't feel secure to me, a bit of, you guessed it, smell of mold. Thankfully, the dj stops playing music around 10 because you can definitely hear it in the room.
The second floor room given after concerns about safety, was considerably MUCH better, up to my standards, clean looking, didn't smell like mold, and the room felt safer. There was a water leak for one ceiling tile from a roof issue they had some years ago, and was perfectly acceptable. Blankets are thin, but you can bump the heat up in the room, not a big deal. Pillows were terrible, bring your own! There are ceiling fans in each room, which is very rare in my travels. Each room on the second floor has a door to the balcony facing the pool.
Had the second floor room been the first room I was given, I would not have known any better and given this place a higher rating.
For the plant lovers: The plants and trees in the pool are all real and well taken care of, with the exception of one. From umbrella plants - variated as well, to snake plants.
For the drinkers: The bar is cheap! A nice older gentleman made delicious mango margaritas that were mixed so well, that I barely tasted the tequila. Served in 8oz plastic cups, so take it with you to the pool where it's warmer to enjoy.
The heater in the communal areas - minus the pool area - wasn't working during my stay, I wished the front desk had, at the very least, mentioned this to me when checking in. They are renovating - when that started, who knows, but the pool was open even though the floor is down to the concrete. Maybe the pictures were taken when it actually did look promising at a point in time, but not when I stayed here. This place does have the potential to be great, if they renovate the rooms, remove all the carpet - which would probably remove most of the moldy smell, just a general reno for basic human comfort.
I could not recommend this place in the state that I had experienced it. If room renovations were done, the mold smell remediated, maybe I'd stay here again one day, but that day,...
Read moreI don’t usually do reviews, but this hotel that I stayed at was the absolute WORST. I recommend reading the reviews before booking because most of them are true. I’m going to give a rundown of how my stay went with my family and I (7/13 & 7/14)
Saturday When we first got there, the place immediately smelled like cigarettes. We had to wait a few minutes to check in because no one was at the front desk. Eventually someone showed up and was able to check us in. When we were looking for the room, the pool area looked like it was under repair. The ceiling tiles were also under repair. When we got to our room, we were greeted with one bedroom, no microwave, no refrigerator or a tv (but there was a remote?). Please keep in mind we booked 2 beds, that had to have a microwave and fridge. We went back to the front desk and the same girl who checked us in found a room with a king bed and a pull out couch and supposedly a fridge and microwave. She said we were going to stay there for one night and then move us into another room the next day. We got to the 2nd room and there wasn’t a fridge or microwave like the girl had said. Luckily, someone from across the hall was able to lend us their microwave. We could not use the pull out couch because there just wasn’t enough space for it. Which also had me thinking why put a king sized bed, a pull out couch and a dresser in one small area? I’m not sure how they run this place, but they seriously need to learn how to accommodate their guests the right way. I think they just give you what room is available without giving a single damn about what you booked for. Cause my family and I were up and down those stairs like 5 times 😭
Sunday It was our last night at this place and we were also suppose to get a new room. The people at the front desk were super kind and helpful. When we got to our new room, we got 2 beds with a fridge and microwave (I’m not sure why we didn’t get that in the first place). I did read some reviews where people say they saw roaches in their rooms. I’m glad I didn’t see any.
My only issue with this place is the customer service and the environment. Some of the employees need to learn how to accommodate guests so that they have a pleasant experience and won’t have people writing bad reviews.
UPDATE: Also this is from my experience, but don’t use the ice machines there for your water bottles or coolers because when they melt they have this weird taste and smell that I ended with a...
