If I could have given this place a -10 STARS I would have! I can not say enough terrible things about this place and implore you to do your research, even if that is just looking at the pictures that I will post with this review. Let me start by saying we only tried this place because some nice people on the beach recommended it, I will say its location at Sunset Beach can not be beat! However unless you plan to sleep on one of the lawn chairs at the pool (which we debated) I highly recommend you skip it! We stayed in Room 113 and arrived around 10:15pm. My phone had died on the way in so the first task after opening the room was finding an outlet so that I could charge my phone. Maybe not the best choice... I couldn't get any light to turn on because apparently they weren't plugged it, the hairballs I encountered were larger than my fat cats that I left at home, and the shear amount of dirt and toilet paper was enough to turn your stomach. I did finally find an outlet beside the very dirt toaster oven. There was a microwave but I wasn't brave enough to look inside. The second thing I had to do was find the restroom... another unfortunate need. The shower curtain was COMPLETELY black with mold and there was hair in the shower. (GROSS!) Last but definitely not least when my husband turned down the bed the king size bed had been left with a Queen fitted sheet and flat sheet. Yep folks, just when you think it couldn't get any worse we tried to adjust the fitted sheet only to find the most apprehensive, disgusting, and unsanitary mattress pad that was crusted with yellow stains of God knows what! Lord help us if we had had anywhere else to stay we would have left immediately. Needless to say out of desperation my husband and I huddled on one side of the bed (the "cleanest" side) clinging to one another and shared the one pillow I had brought from home. Did I mention we sprayed the entire bed with Lysol before we laid down. We neither one slept a wink and arose early just to get the heck out of that cootie infested room. We spent all day on the beach and around 4pm decided to go back, carefully not touch anything and rinse off (don't worry we wore flip flops and used our own towels) and GO HOME. Leaving our last night unused but thankful to go home to our clean beds and house. I did send an email to Sloane Vacation Rentals who manages the property and they did call and say that someone from management would follow up. No one from management has followed up. Unless you want some type of cootie or std I would highly suggest NOT staying here and wasting your money. It was soooooo gross! **Also wanted to add that there was an unknown blood or fecal substance on the light switch in the bathroom. Don't worry it is pictured below.

This condo is in a great location, and there’s free WiFi (though the document posted on the fridge has the wrong login information so I had to call to get access) and ceiling fans in both rooms. It’s a quaint little space that was cool and inviting when we walked in. There’s a full fridge that actually kept things cold, and it looked like there were new cooking utensils in the kitchenette area. (If you care about watching TV at the beach, there were flatscreens in both rooms—but we didn’t turn them on.) The issues I had with this place built up over our one night stay, though. The light cover on one of the fans was broken, and it rattled. There’s no fan/air circulation in the bathroom (which opens to the bedroom) so I showered with the bathroom door open, and we learned quickly to close the bathroom door and crack the window open after using the toilet. (Not pleasant.) Speaking of air circulation, there AC/heat unit is in the bedroom, and there’s nothing but a ceiling fan in the first room—so if you want to be comfy in the main room, you have to keep the fans on high and the door open between the bedroom and main room. The main room is still quite stuffy when you walk into it from the bedroom. The beds were very lumpy (the floors were strangely lumpy, too). The sheets on the beds were dingy, and I’m not sure the bedspreads were clean—though I guess that’s common of most hotels. Two flat pillows on each queen bed. Four bath towels, no extras in the closet. There were no paper products—so if you stay here, bring your own tissues, napkins, and paper towels. And if you aren’t in good physical condition, make sure your room is on the ground floor. The stairs leading up to the second floor are steep and angled back, making for a difficult climb (thank goodness it’s only a single flight of stairs).

ROOM # 207. I want to be clear that "NOT ALL ROOM ARE THE SAME". This is the 4th time we stay here. We have been coming to this area since 2007 and stay in multiple places some times whole houses and sometimes here . This time we stay at the Continental Motel for short 3 night with my family. We love Sunset Beach. This time we stay in room #207, not a very confortable experience. The small wall A/C unit can't keep the room at a comfortable temperature at night, bedroom was cold and the living room area hot. Also that poor A/C unit make a horrible noise so bad that we wore unable to get a good sleep, also the vents wore cover on black nasty mold. The room was some how clean, some left over sweeteners and napkins from local restaurants and a nasty sticky table, it was so bad.. one side had some type of sticky liquid on one leg that have grow mold in it, NASTY. The beds are not confortable it all. Living room Furniture dirty. The owners of this room need to updated this items and your next stay here will be nice. We have stay in others rooms before and they wore nicer. Nothing Against the Continental Motel, it is a good and affordable location close to the beach, the balcony even have a Oceanview.
