I will start this review off with " What a beautiful town and awesome people that make it so" while touring the Carolina coastal towns, we came across Sunset beach North Carolina. This was the first time I've ever been in a beach town that actually didn't charge you to park. I was so confused that I walked into the store a few feet from where I had parked. Now I can tell you about Tracy and John who are the owners of Sunset Beach Trading Co. Two of the nicest people you'd ever meet. I walked in and asked if the parking was actually free. They said it always has been that way but probably next year that would change. No worries because this beach is worth it. Back to Tracy and John. When you walk into their store, they have everything you're looking for and some. I've posted a slew of pictures to show. This is also the first time I've visited a " beach town" where you are treated like family. Tracy and John told us everything we needed to know about sunset beach and some history. This is not a big condo, an over populated vacation spot. This is a perfect place to bring your family and there is the sunset fishing pier where you can pay to walk the pier and or fish. My friend and I dropped off our husbands for a full day of fishing, so we had the morning to roam around. We ended up in a beautiful little town called Sunset Beach. Absolutely stunning views and amazing people. The lady at the pier said if we wanted to get something cute that said Sunset Beach on it that we should go to Sunset Beach Trading Company. Boy was she right. A beautiful store with beautiful items for purchase. We met the owners and they were so welcoming and kind. This is the place to go to pick up all of your Sunset Beach needs and souvenirs :) The owners also told us that Nicholas Sparks wrote a book about this area called "Every Breath" and of course I had to pick it up. This store is a must stop shop if you are going to be in the Sunset Beach area! Great merchanidise, ice cream, service, location, and super friendly folks that own and run the store! Personally I found that they were a retailer for a highly sought after product this summer at the beach. I contacted the owner and he was kind enough to hold the product for me upon request and sell one of the last available. speaks volumes for the kind of dedication they have to the customer experience!! Also worth mentioning safety for everyone during the pandemic is a priority for them requiring distancing and a mask worn in the store.
