Iāll add on how awful my stay there was. Having no other lodging choices available, I booked there as it was a short distance from where I needed to be. I booked last minute due to worsening weather conditions for Friday March 22, 2024 checking out on Sunday. When checking in, a gentleman was awaiting the desk clerk as he had gone to his room and found it unacceptable and wanted a refund. I had hoped it was not as bad but I found out otherwise - and sadly was stuck there due to all other area locations having no vacancies. When I entered the hallway (non smoking), there was a distinctive odor of what I can only assume was pot coming from another room. My room - the rug had not even been vacuumed. I got up early Saturday morning and found bed bugs and cockroaches walking around my belongings, on the floor and walls. I killed several. With it being early morning of course no one was available at the front desk. I called customer service to complain but by the time their office responded I was already engaging in the business I was in Auburn for and could not take or return the call. When I was finally able to call, guest services was closed. The front office was also closed by the time I had returned to the inn. I debated even staying Saturday night as I was so grossed out but weather conditions made it unsafe for me to safely drive late at night on icy roads. So I reluctantly stayed. Of course the front office was still closed by the time I departed Sunday morning.
I just got off the phone (Monday morning) with guest services and have filed a formal complaint - I want my money back. I have never stayed at a hotel so horrible. After reading all these poor reviews now citing the same issues and worse, maybe itās time to file a complaint with the local health department as well as BBB.
EDIT
After reading all the reviews - some with the same complaints going back many MANY months showing an obvious lack of care to fix the issues - and how folks who requested funds back were denied, I hold no hope this place will refund my money. I saw the ābotā standard reply that says the same āsaw your negative post and passing info onā but after all these reviews and absolutely nothing done to remedy the conditions at this property, I will prepare a letter and my photos as well as screen captures of the many negative reviews to file with both BBB and Sutton Health Department. This is deplorable and poor business ethics to charge people so much to have to endure such filth. Iād have been better off...

We only reserved this "hotel" because our Air BNB cancelled on us right before our trip and we needed a place to stay that allowed dogs. This location was the only spot available. The moment we pulled into the parking lot, we knew this wasn't going to be the best stay but we had no idea what we were in for. While going to our room, there were people sitting outside smoking weed, hacking and uncomfortably staring us down and it was clear that they lived there. We paid extra money for a "suit" with a full kitchen but our kitchen at first glance as we entered our room, was so disgusting and covered in stains, dirt, rust and had no burners in the stove that we knew it would be useless to us. The bathroom was alright.. but had layers of dirt caked onto it. The floor was sticky and the carpet was barely vacuumed. We checked the beds and except for a cigarette burn on one of the sheets, they seemed clean. We could see layers of actual garbage under the furniture and beds. Though the most shocking find was a roach we saw crawling on the phone on our night stand. We soon after saw a swarm of them in the kitchen and the second night stand next to our bed. It was late and we had no where else to go where we could bring our pets. If it wasn't for decently clean beds, we likely would have slept in our car. So we decided to just go to bed. But I didn't sleep well because not long after falling asleep, a roach woke me up by crawling across my forehead! I didn't sleep after that. When we got up that morning, we turned the bathroom light on to find roaches on the bathroom walls, mirror, counter, our belongings and IN OUR TOOTHBRUSH HOLDERS! We gathered our stuff and quickly left and planned on complaining to the front desk in hopes of being offered at LEAST a discount for what we paid to sleep with roaches, but even at 11am, there was no one to be found. Do yourself a favor and stay clear of this disgusting excuse for a hotel. We have been back home for two nights now and we are still feeling...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe staff were friendly & accommodating. I enjoy privately owned hotels/motels because I feel like a chain doesn't care about making every customers stay as pleasant/comfortable as possible. It was fairly obvious that a family owned/ran this franchise, & it showed through their friendly & warm customer service. (There was the sweetest/cutest lil boy who was outgoing & funny, he made me smile every time I saw him.) There's not a whole lot to say about the room, as it was a pretty typical hotel room. It had a nice flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, ac/heat, & a really cool alarm clock that had USB ports & plugs. (It was very convenient, cuz it was on the nightstand, so I was able to charge my phone, iPad, & earbuds at the same time.) There's nothing else super fancy, but I feel as though there's no difference between there or a Holiday/Hampton Inn. Omg, I almost forgot to mention how awesome & comfy the king sized bed was! š (it's fairly obvious that it was on the newer side.) The location, of this place was, also really convenient! There are convenience stores, gas stations, a bank, & grocery store all within a 30 second drive. It's right on rt.146, so the Mass Pike was 5 mins away, rt. 290 six mins away, & rt. 495 is approx 15 mins away, after getting on to the Pike. I would definitely stay there again, cuz I feel like you get more bang for your buck! (I'd rather spend between $65-$75, instead of $200 for the Hampton Inn.) There's NO WAY this place should have only 1 star!
Oh, I forgot to say that they have rooms w/ jacuzzi tubs & full kitchens, too! š² But, those are obviously more expensive, & I didn't...
